LarryEA Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Can't help ... but have to comment. I got a mental picture of a VW Bus and what I see is a faded green, grafetti plastered VW I rode in once. Many years ago I went on a fishing camping trip with four guy friends. One owned a VW bus and volunteered to drive. Had enough room for all and our gear. A four hour drive but before we were an hour on the road, we were pulled over, "Just for a spot check". We and the VW had a passing grade. About an hour later, three good looking women pulled along side and signaled for us to pullover. We did pull over. The VW gave them the impression we were hippies with something to 'smoke'. I guess you could say we all were disappointed. Anyway, all I have is a mental picture of your '73 VW Bus. Quote

bobscroll Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Nice job on the pattern Paul, I didn't have a camper But I did have a couple of Beetle's I didn't like driving them at all!!!, I put one in a garden wrote it off! I ramed another one in the back of another car , Spun one in the wet weather ended up facing the wrong way , You see I went from an Austin Mini, The Beetle's are completely different to drive, I said Sod it! not again! I just thought I would tell you my little story! Bad memories Bob Quote
