Your obviously doing some sizable work, but I'm not getting how you are bottom feeding in the center of these large pieces without standing on your head.  You use small drill bits for your entry holes, so I'm pretty sure you are not blind feeding it.  Do tell, or better yet, a video :-). I know Dearing does very very large pieces on his Hegner as well, so I should probably go lookup one of his videos.

My pictures are not near as big as Charles Dearing does.  The biggest I have done in in the 16" x 14" size most less that that.  I just lift the board up at a slant, find the hole and insert the blade.  I use very small blades #2/0 or #1 and they are very flexible so it is easy to start them is a hole on a slanted board.  I also have a tool with a point on it that I counter sink the holes on the back side, which helps a lot.  I am going to modify my Hegner so the top arm will lift higher also.  And the bigger table top I have on it now is a great improvement.

Scale is tricky to figure out with pictures.  Your work looks great, but at that size, that makes your work that much more impressive.

Thanks, the one I am most proud of is the "Winter Scene" with the with the cabin.  The actual picture is only 3 1/2" tall.  Coarse you could have done the whole scene on a coin!!  Talk about impressive.

I was looking through your gallery and commenting on some of your projects.  I found myself mesmerized by so many of your works I had to give up liking and commenting for fear you'd think I was stalking you.  😄  Truly, I am just blown away... Thanks for sharing your skills.

I was looking through both your galleries... truly a master at work!! I loved your cigar box ukuleles, are they done with real cigar boxes...or did you find the borders to make them look like the real thing? I have 2-3 real cigar boxes in great shape from grandpa...probably early 1900s.

Thank you.  They are all real cigar boxes.  It is a very fun hobby.

My goodness, Scrappile, what terrific scrolling. I can see that I still have a lot to learn about this hobby. Your work has raised the bar for me, thank you.
