  5. welcome to the addiction, fred! it was nice and warm here this weekend. i know the weather is only teasing us. but at least the shop warmed up a bit. plus we know that summer is right around the corner. then you'll be too busy scrolling to work. then theres no going back

  7. you have some real nice work there, mediaboy. i'm not sure where i'd start on those designs you have on your website. i usually just grab a little sandpaper and work away at it. i'll have to try out the torch method. sounds like it works real good. thanks for the tip

  14. how do you finish your projects? i tried tungoil once. looks nice on solid wood. but usually i like to spray on a clear coat it after i'm done.
  15. thats real neat. do you hang it from a tree? i get their catalog with one of the magazines. don't remember which one tho. they have a lot of neat stuff. i should try one.
  16. i got one of those magazines when i was at the bookstore. i think it had a deer or something. i thought it was neat and wanted to try it out. so i kept an eye on the thrifty nickel ads and found a saw for $50. so i bought it. lots of fun so far.
  17. make it up as you go and pretend thats what you had in mind the whole time. thats what i do. but then again, i make a lot of firewood
  18. during the summer, i like to cook with beer. so add one beer and you've got a perfect recipe.
  19. thats a darn shame. i signed the petitian and voted. thanks for telling us about that.
  20. i've seen those branding irons with your logo in catalogs. i think it would be neat to have one. but at $100 or so, i change my mind quick. sometimes i just write out on a piece of paper and glue it to the backer board. only works for stuff you have framed, though.
  21. welcome. there are a lot of real nice folks here. and much more tallented than me i really like the jesus picture you did. i bet that took a long time to make. you do some real nice work.
