The wood is beautiful, but I know from experience how hard it is so you did an amazing job. I got myself a burl when I was woodturning and my chisels would not touch it so I took it to a guy that had been turning for a heck of a lot long than me and even he could hardly make a dent in it.. We eventually put it in the too hard basket. No we oiled it and it now sits on my dresser. Marg

That must be one of THE worst jobs in the world, well I think so anyway, I was a primary school cleaner/janitor for almost 25 years. Sue did a great job on the pattern for you and you executed it really well, great work. Marg

Eyes are great now thanks Melanie. My biggest problem now is Terry! Now that he is retired it is a question of if I stay in long enough to cut anything or if I have to help with any of the renovations.........But they have almost finished so hopefully I will get more time in the garage then......I hope. The pattern is by LabradorBob, it's in the pattern library here. It's cut from 3mm Hoop Pine and cut with a 2/0 Reverse Tooth flat blade. I have a couple of stags to do and I thought this was the easier one of the two until I started cutting it. Hhmmmm Still nothing broke and that's the main thing. Marg
