The Woodsmith in Vic does not have an enormous stock of the lighter coloured wood Brett its mainly Jellotong and Huen pine oh and a bit of King Billy pine. And when I got the first piece of Rock Maple it was only really an off cut but I picked up some round pieces on Sat. that I have to cut into slices. The working with wood show is on in a couple of weeks I will see what they have there. Marg

I've only cut a couple of Christmas ornaments so far so the blades been ok, maybe when I find something more industrious to cut I will run into a blade problem until then I'm happy. Marg

I have finally found a white colored wood that I love and its American Rock Maple. I never use white or light colored woods because I had the way they look after they have been oiled etc, but this one looks the way I want it too. Thanks America. Marg

That is excellent, I love it, well done. And Kris I started to cut a Snowy Christmas scene in April and I haven't finished it yet and so far I have spent 7hours and 55 min. in cutting time. I have made lots of other things along the way but I figure this one is for me and I can take as long as I like as long as I don't break it and thats the main thing. Marg
