  7. Intarsia by its very nature is time and resource intensive and therefore tends to be expensive. Depending upon the show would depend on if it sold or not. For instance a church craft fair intarsia probably would not sell well as folks would be looking for the bargains. An art show where people are looking for art and are willing to pay more might be a different story. One can never truly tell what folks are willing to buy and at what price. I have found boxes and baskets and bowls to sell well as well as ornament sets and the unique things that have the cuteness factor. Wishing you both all the success in your show together. DW

  9. Land lines are the past and will not come back. Cheap pay as you go phones are what is available and cheaply. Sorry to hear about your truck. DW
  10. A lot is going to depend upon the ply you are using and the blade. one of the ways to minimize the splintering on the bottom one is to tape the whole stack top and bottom. DW
  11. These things happen from time to time. What I have done in situations like this is sell what I can, meet and great folks and pass out business cards. The more places you get seen the more likely it will be that you will have return customers and good referrals from them as well. It took me about 3 years to get a loyal following of folks that would wait for me at several of the later shows so do not get discouraged. Remember to have fun and talk to folks you never know if that is the one that will buy or not. Try to stick to juried shows as they tend to be better managed. DW

  15. What causes this I believe is that the rotor ( the spinning part ) has a slight magnetic imbalance that over time gets worse. When it occurs the motor tends to stop in a position where the arm mechanism is locked in the position of neither going up or going down. This is why when you tap the foot switch and the saw moves a little the problem is generally fixed. The only real solution that I know of is to replace the motor. I have had this happen to me and I ignored it until the motor shorted out and had to be replaced. This is not uncommon to Dewalt or any other brand that works like it. DW

  17. Dick That would be a great ornament for a show. It has what I call the cuteness factor. It reminds adults of their childhood and delights kids. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW

  21. Dick that is great. Lovely cutting. Add a little colorful christmas type ribbon and you have a wonderful ornament. If you have a couple of different ones you might think of cutting small groups. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW

  25. The stuff that Lowes and Home Depot sell is NOT Baltic Birch Plywood. It is birch plywood but not the same. There is a brand that Lowe's was carrying, not sure if they are anylonger that is comparable to Baltic Birch Plywood but is made totally here in the US. This brand is called ApplePly. Here is a link to their website - http://appleply.com/ DW
