  1. Welcome to the village! The people here are really great! I have been scrolling on/off for over 10 years, and have picked up quite a few tips and tricks, but most of all, a lot of new friends! Congrats on the new saw! Paul
  2. Great work! Thanks for sharing! Paul
  3. Great set-up, Travis! Paul
  4. I keep forgetting to order spirals so I can try them out. Heard you either love 'em or hate 'em. Paul
  5. Thanks, Travis. They only take about 45 minutes to cut and finish. Spray varnish, and spray urethane. Working on "generic" stock cars to avoid copyright with nascar. And working on a couple of classic cars. Like 'Stangs, Camaros, etc. for upcoming car shows. But the concept ,key racks, can have any design for them can be used. Sports, wildlife, religous, light-houses,word-art, etc. can be adapted. The possibilities are endless. Paul
  6. I've been doing some unique key racks for an upcoming show.A couple of them are on the home page. Also been selling some thru a couple of local biker leather shops. I have been working with Andy Deane on a couple of car pattern ideas for the key racks. I am thinking "usefull" items priced reasonably will be the selling items with the economy as it is. Paul
  7. Thanks for the "tip" on the props idea! Never thought of that. I have an upcoming show in April. I'll certainly use that idea! I keep away from shows that have flea market venders. Different crowd of buyers as Travis and Vector said. You also have to have a somewhat wide variety of items to sell. I'll post my show results after my next show. Paul
  8. That is some awesome work, mal! Paul
  9. Your Hitachi is almost exactly like my Craftsman. Just a couple of cosmetic differences. I took out the plastic insert where the blade goes through, and cut a piece of 1/8 poplar to fit, drilled a hole for the blade to go through. It is a bit off-set to the right of center. Instant zero clearance for close tolerance cuts. Paul
  10. Pretty cool, Travis! Paul
  11. Great job, Bill! I also like horses! Have to try that one! Paul
  12. I did a craft show last November. It was the first one in quite a few years. All I had was Christmas ornaments, and a few patriotic items. Didn't do real well on the ornaments. The patriotic stuff sold out, and got some orders for more. Going to do a show in April with a much wider variety. Will update then with the best sellers! Also planning on doing a few car shows when the weather permits. Paul
  13. Hi Scrollpup! Told you this was a great site! The people here are really great! Paul
  14. That is pretty cool Fez! Paul
  15. Hi Jim! Welcome to the Village! Paul
  16. Thanks, Christina! I have seen your work! That is a real compliment from you! Paul
  17. Yep, that was me that did the Wizard/Owl on my flickr page. Muleskinner does GREAT patterns. The eyes on the wiz had a really great effect of the pattern. Gave the cut a life of it's own. Thanks, Muleskinner! Paul
  18. That is so cool! Kind of wish I had a fence on my property! Paul
  19. Thanks, Travis! Willl be posting a few more soon! I really like doing portraits. Paul
  20. I have a Craftsman 16" that, if I don't sand the ends of the blade as suggested, the blades always pop out of the bottom holder. Paul
  21. Added link on my sig. to show my work. Just learned how to do that! I am so computer illiterate! LOL! Paul
  22. Thank you for letting me into the Village! I live in Stow, Ohio. Been scrolling for over 10 years. Mostly portrait stuff. I see a lot of familiar names here. Anyone in Northeast Ohio ( Cleveland/Akron/Canton )? We have just started up a scrollers club. There are 6 of us so far. Hope to grow! Paul
