  1. I was just thinking the same thing! I do see many local crafters making gnomes out of fabric too right now. It seems to be a popular thing.
  2. Wayne, I am sad to say that this client decided they wanted to go with a laser engraver instead of a scroll saw cut. Your design was fantastic, and I wish I would have gotten the chance to make it to post. Just wanted to circle back and let you know the outcome. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate you. ~Gordon
  3. I have seen a lot of those types of signs, but for me I don't think it is worth it to have that amount of inventory set up to sell. There is SO much variation in what people are looking for. With those generic welcome signs, I don't see a lot of traction. It takes someone who has their eye on that style specifically. If you can add the custom element and put a name on it, you will sell far more. I know a friend who bought a Cricut machine, and he just prints the name on vinyl to stick on the wood signs. That sells.
  4. Thanks Wayne! I will give this a shot, and I'll hopefully be able to post some pics when it is finished. Really great work, and I thank you. Now I just have to decide if I want to go after this thing with the saw! Thanks again.
  5. Wayne, Thank you so much! You really took this to another level, and I greatly appreciate your work. The company is looking for a similar 2D version of my military plaques that I do. It would all be cut from 1/8" baltic birch ply, and then matted over a flag image. I love what you did, but would you want to simplify into a 2D single pattern? If not, I can try to do some cut and paste. I am attaching a picture of how I do these. Again, thank you so much!
  6. Thank you! Those stars take a bit of time to finish, but I like it a lot too.
  7. Thank you sir. These are going to be auction items for those in attendance. I got a high resolution flag picture and printed it on photo paper for these, and I really like it. I am going to give the winners options on background.
  8. Thank you sir.
  9. Absolutely! Thanks for the look.
  10. Thank you!
  11. Thank you!
  12. These are modified patterns from Steve Good at Scrollsaw Workshop, and I am doing these for a golf benefit here in Colorado for Folds of Honor. I am putting different backer colors behind them, and I hope they are a hit!
  13. Hello all. I took a long while off from scrolling, but I am getting back into things! I have a request for a nonprofit plaque, and I just don't think I can make this right. Is there anyone out there who would like to give this a crack? I would appreciate your expertise. Thanks so much. Gordon
  14. And I just saw that there is a better area to post this in. Thanks, and I am moving this to that space.
  15. Hello all. I took a long while off from scrolling, but I am getting back into things! Years ago, you could put up a request for others to take a stab at creating a pattern if they would like to. Is that still an option here? Totally voluntary, but I know so many of you have far better skills than many. I have a request for a nonprofit plaque, and I just don't think I can make this right. Is there anyone out there who would like to give this a crack? I would appreciate your expertise. Thanks.
