  1. wow, I hate snakes but that haul might be worth it. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Katie
  2. If I can get my son to bed I will be there.
  3. The magnets hold the picture to the fridge. They are right at the edge of the opening so they catch the edge of the photo.
  4. Thanks for the coffee and the good news of your show. I needed to read something happy today.
  5. cool! I have always wanted to do one of these. Yours is great.
  6. nice work!
  7. wow that is very nice! I have a question. In your progress photos the not red bird looks darker then in this picture. Is it the lighting in this photo or did you do something to it?
  8. The other thing I might do with this idea is to have kids make them as a craft. My son has a bunch of friends in the neighborhood and all of the kids are often looking for something to do. If I had a bunch of pieces and they could glue their own stuff on it might make an awesome afternoon activity. I don't know if I can handle that many kids with glue bottles and glitter, power tools are so much easier to handle lol
  9. I made my own patterns for these, I share it with you! Fridge Frames.pdf
  10. This is my project from the weekend, well actually part of the project (I actually made about 30 of these frames) It is a simple project that I am hoping will sell well at craft shows. I mean what grandma doesn't another picture of her grand-kids on the fridge? I cut frames from 1/8" baltic birch plywood and mod-podged scrapbook paper to them. I had an idea about streamlining the process so I also mod-podged pieces of wood then cut out the frames. Both methods worked but the mod-podging first caused some of the pieces to have "distressed" style edges (It is a design element, that's my story and I am sticking to it) I also glued some hearts and stars that have scrap book paper attached. I used hot glue to stick magnet strips to the back of the frames. Let me know if you have questions! MrsN
  11. Nice job on these!
  12. Very cool!
  13. That is genius!! Thanks for sharing!
  14. I do it too. I also touch most of the wood furniture I see and check out the grain.
  15. I just went through some of the patterns that I have cut to see how many cuts they have, this trick is fascinating. I don't usually count as I go so I really had no idea how many cuts I was making. I average way more cuts per pattern then I would have thought. Thanks again for sharing this tip, I love it! Katie
  16. A while ago I was looking for a crown image to go with this saying, but Grampa went above and beyond and made me this awesome pattern of a tiara and cape wearing super hero. (I do wonder where he got such a good picture of me, lol) I stack cut the pattern, but one of the e's broke off so I cut out the girl and painted her. I haven't decided how to frame these yet. I am leaning towards pink glittered frames, but I don't know yet. I will update with more pictures when I figure it out. Katie
  17. I don't know about grizzly but I love my OSS. I have a preformax, the cheap Menards special.
  18. I keep both my belt sander and band saw under tension.
  19. Awesome! I didn't know how to do that!
