  1. This is my first attempt with this technique, made from recycled wood, it is 18" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/4", came out from cedar, mahogany, red oak, and 2 different types of pine wood. After 3 days working on it due to clamp process for gluing, I got this done today, now I am sealing it with me real oil. Next time I would spend some more time aligning it, but looks fine to me for a very first tray, what do you think? I am attaching few pictures of the process steps.

  11. Simón Díaz, the folk singer affectionately known as “Uncle Simón†in his native Venezuela, has died at age 85. The folk singer was known internationally for his much covered song "Caballo Viejo". . His most famous songs include Luna de Margarita, La Vaca Mariposa, Tonada de Luna Llena and, of course, Caballo Viejo, which has been translated into 12 languages. I decided to make this small tribute for him. Thanks DonR by helping with the pattern

  15. Hi Dick, frames was something i was afraid of. i made the meremortals 45 degrees jig and i am happy with the results of using it. You should try it.
