  1. I had a lot of my work in the old gallery. Can one still access them?
  2. Thanks, Clayton. I've heard of doing something like that. I'm even thinking of a thru-the-wall- ducted fan , something like a bathroom fan except larger and stronger. At first I rejected this, thinking that it might be a potential fire hazard by exhausting dust. But they make them today with enclosed motor housings preventing dust and lint problems. Anybody have any suggestions about this?
  3. The secret of a long, loving marriage is that each thinks that the other is the most important person in the whole world.

  5. I raise a lot of dust when I scroll and sand in my small shop (about 10'x12'). Any suggestions from you folks about a relatively efficient dust remover for about $200 or so? I've read a few reviews on some, but was wondering if anyone has had good luck with a particular model. I'm thinking of one that sits on the floor and has good DUST removal capability, not necessarily odors, smoke, pet dander, etc.

    hello

Hi Tommy, and welcome. This is a great site and enables you to show us some of your work. I live in Virginia now, but lived all my life on Long Island. Always nice to meet another New Yorker. Where on L.I. do you live?
  7. I really like Japanese/Chinese water color paintings. They have beautiful colorings and wonderful use of space. Does anyone know if they are adaptable to scrolling? Does anyone know of high quality patterns that may be available in this genre?
  8. I started with a Dewalt 788. Some play in the table adjustment, but a great saw for the price. Recently upgraded to the Excalibur 21 which eliminates the need to angle the table. If you want to do inlay work, or any kind of bevelling, then the Excalibur is the way to go. But It's a lot more expensive than the Dewalt.
  9. Grew up in East Hampton, N.Y., Taught history for 31 years in Sayville, N.Y. Retired to Virginia in 1998. Started scrolling a little over 1 year ago, as I needed something to keep me busy. It's a great hobby and have been pleased at what I've accomplished so far. Nice to be among you folks and hope to learn from you.
