Duco is less expensive....I've used it with success but I rough up the painted surface a bit first. -
I've never seen the word "gone" with riplets going through it before..Nice job.

I got involved in this project this year for the first time. As a vet myself 68-71 I understand what it is like to be away for the holidays..This is a wonderful cause. I wish that we had people back home doing this for us when I was over the pond. I have cut about 24 so far and just found a bunch more ornaments to choose from so will be cutting more. I was told that they like them to be under 5" and they would prefer less intricate ones as they have had feedback the soldiers like to carry them in their pockets and the fragile ones tend to get broken easily. My wifes church sunday school which she teaches is also involved now with letter writing and decorating paper bags.... None of my business but I was told they prefer nothing that looks military or guns etc. Just a heads up. I think that maybe you would want to check to see if the ornament that ilovetosaw contributed is appropriate for this endeavor? It is a great ornament so don't get your feelings hurt but is it appropriate for this project?

I've been looking for a supplier for the earring HOOKS?? and for the rings for keychains...I can't find any locally. I see Sue has earrings in her album...shadylady where did you find the keychain rings? Thanks for any help.

I have a workbench and I also use my table saw top. I also use a work mate for some heavy sanding jobs out doors with the belt sander, as my shop vac really won't contain all of that sawdust created by a belt sander. I was fortunate enough to get some lower cabinets with doors when a business was going out of business so i can store most of my hand held tools out of the way and behind closed doors.

Isn't that funny. I made several for folks last year and visited some this summer and most had them hangin in their kitchens...
