I've wore out over a dozen saws and full well know the meaning of having a back up saw.Down time is not happy time.I've been buying low priced DW788's a plenty and soon find out even though there's not a scratch on them some how the previous owner has managed to destroy it.I've gone thru 3 DW788'sn a year.All need bearings .who has time for that.i got to scroll!sorry nto,hear your dilemma.

  8. After i finished the eagles the saw would not hold blades anymore to cut ,As soon as you start to cut it comes loose.So i changed it out with another one from the wall of scroll saws.Bye the way i got shorted a hundred bucks for the eagles i made.

  24. Thank you Ralph,I've made these for my friend before in aromatic cedar ,walnut oak and they cut quick Like an hour and a half.This walnut he brought took 3 hours on a 6'' one-4 hours on a 8" one-5 hours on a 14" one and 7 hours on a 24" one this walnut was rock hard?

I love electricity,respect it and have had the shizen knock out of me many times from it.As easy as the wire that holds are new blades together ,breaks is so thin and fragile that it would act as a fuse itself being not able to hold a couple of amps with out failing."If i would have thought of it i could have gone to the shelves of plenty of dw788 here in my shop and pulled out a fuse to use .that's what being in a hurry does to you .got to be at least 5 or more sitting there,lol,Ok ok i'll change the fuse ,Thanks for looking out for me Len!Cancel 911
