I have plased orders with Bushton Mfg. for replacement parts and also called for tech support and have always been very happy with the knowledgeable help I received. I have purhased replacement parts from Bushton Mfg. to refurbish several older Hawk Scroll Saw that I purchased on Craigs List and resold. I have never had anything but first rate service from the Bushton Crew.

I have a Hawk G4 and an Excalibur. The G4 is my go to saw. The only thing I've ever done to the G4 is I upgraded the upper and lower Blade Clamps with the new style that Bushton uses on their new Hawk Scroll Saws. There is a good video on Youtube for the Hawk G4. Check it out and you can see the advantages of the G4.

I've have had two saws for quite a while. My go to saw is a Hawk G4 and my backup is a Black Excalibur Summerville design saw. Made a lot of sawdust with both.

Very pretty work and a great message also.

I use a combination of blades... Olson blades (PGT & Mach Speed) from Sloans Woodshop and Flying Dutchman (ultra reverse and Polar) from Mike's.
-
Great workmanship. Very nice projects.

I normally use Elmer's, but I ran out, went to Walmart and ran across Krylon Spray Adhesive... Bought a can to try and so far it is working very good with no lift off. Will I go back to Elmer's? Don't know yet.

Thanks Earl, I enjoyed the video. -
I've been toying around with this question

I repurposed one of the old white plastic cutting boards by cutting it into sections that fit my Dremel Drill Press Table. I use a little two sided tape to keep it from moving around on the Drill Press Table. It really lasts a long time. -

Howdy from the Big City of Pleasant Shade TN

I would like to say Howdy to all the members of the Scroll Saw Village. I did a post yesterday, but posted it in the wrong place (old dogs have a hard time with all this new fangled stuff)☺. I'm pretty good at making sawdust, but not so good with these forum's. I first started scrolling back in the early '50's with an old BVI Scroll Saw. It had an open frame motor with a chain drive. I think I still have a picture of it. Over the years I've had several brands of scroll saws. My primary saw now is a Hawk G4 and my secondary is an Excalibur EX-21. My interests are general scroll sawing. I also enjoy refurbishing old RBI scroll saws when I have time, but mainly just like sitting at the scroll saw making saw dust. I'm really glad I ran across this site. The only time I get to talk to any one about scroll sawing is when I visit Sloan's Wood Shop in Lebanon, TN. I've not ran across any strollers in my neck of the woods. Thanks so much for letting me join your group. An old dog can still learn new tricks and I still love to learn. From what I've read so far on this site you guys are pretty sharp saw dust makers. If anyone is looking for a good Scroll Saw I have a RBI 226VS that I've completely rebuilt. I installed new thrust bearings, sleeves, and shoulder bolts on both upper and lower arms. It also has the latest new variable speed DC motor and control from Bushton. This is the same motor and control that Bushton uses in the new Hawk Scroll Saws. Thanks for letting me be part of the Scroll Saw Village.
