    Dave ,Dabble in all the various ways a scroll saw can be used.It really comes in handy having knowledge when problems come up and you have more ways of turning firewood into something way better than it was going to be just from having experience in doing things differently!

    I scooped up on another free scroll saw on Craigs list today.It even came with the book for it.Looks like i need an allen wrench to change the blade.Plugged it in and it runs very fast with no speed control at all . Delta model 40-530

    I've sawed a decade worth on dw788's.this new type 2 saw has a problem i haven't run across before or heard of anyone else having this issue.Most of the time it will raise up high like it was designed too but lots of times it won't.Anybody have this issue with the dw788 before?

    Really it was slow but i've been going thru way to many dewalts and i think anything above 5 on the speed control is detrimental?

    Nice project.Sorry you had trouble with the spiral.Keep the blade tight and go very slow ,let the blade do the work

    I had a scroll saw that you needed an allen wrench to change the blade.Good part was i only had to loosen just the top half to thread thru some wood .So it wasn't half bad .I had a ball for a year doing this daily ,all day long.
