  2. Whoa, i thought i answered this one long time ago saying tabbys are my favorite?
  3. Hi David ,Jump in and try the portrait, get your feet wet so to speak!I've seen protraits thin and thick and lately i've grown to love the look of the thick ones.Your probable right about personal taste though.I've heard it said that black felt rings out the beauty of the project. anything can be used as a backer.Try holding the portrait up to different colored things in your house to get an idea what color will enhance it best.the walls the fridge, the carpet, chairs tables just get a quick idea what to strive for.Colored craft paper aluminum foil ,i like poster colored thick paper my self ,cheap too..Maybe even a picture of flowers if it's a female portrait.Your the artist and every one has their own signature in their work .Enjoy what you do an d most of all have fun doing it!
  4. Magnifico! Very quality looking .Yes You got it done ,Your a great painter too! Nice workmanship Fransisco No room for improvement.I would have you do lettering jobs for me!
  5. My computer guy says to download and run two programs before you shut down for the day. They are CC Cleaner and malwarespyware both are free from filehippo , File hippo will tell you what needs to be upgraded every month too. They clean tons of things everytime for me.

  7. DW, i have a big heart and would'nt want to deviate from that .I trust everyone and 99% of them do me wrong .This is nothing new.I'm very lucky to get a thank you from free stuff either.i can't figure people out?
  8. No problem Money and me never knew each other.LOL
  9. You know you get a phone call, this is what i want. You do a great job matching their request but that all changes when it's time to get paid! I spent 2 hours doing the patterning ,went thru 25 sheets of copy paper to get it close and then right, expensive printer ink, scotch tape, etc and their very happy.I spend timre before hand to make blanks like this to use when the time comes for useing one. That's another couple hours.I wait outside the guys store after seeing him. Then 45 minutes waiting for the $50.00.He's not coming out so i leave. He calls me right away and says he wants a stand for it too.Keep in mind he called me 2.5 hours before he wanted this project. And now he wants it painted too.Now it seems to me that you would tell somebody all this if you needed in a hurry.Ok I tell him another $20 bucks. But i want the $50 now.One thing lead to the other and a heated arguement was brewing .Ends up i had this project for dinner. But the funny part is he has no idea how much i love to scroll so the egg is on his face.LOL

  15. With that much , if its cloth backed you could make sanding mops. They are not cheap or even close to it.Cat scratch poles? Bird perches? I save my friends used sand paper when i go thru his scrap barrel of hard woods.Lucky you, If i lived closer to you instead of borrowing sugar it would be sand paper.I use 80 mostly.

  21. DW how many saws? A first one a delta ss250 16" A dremil 16" A harbor freight 16" two dremil, both new 18" the first in a year ,the second in a month A 18" chinese no name i can remember A Craftsman 16" A craftsman 20" c-arm A dw788 I got a year of heavy sawing with the first delta only reason being is i didn't know the blade had to be guitar string tight.and cutting 3/4" plywood exclusively and at a very slow speed to keep the noise dowmn in an apartment, never any complaints that way.

  24. Fab4,Your right ! It's overwhelming what i give away.I'm blessed . I live in poverty but i shall not want. All my needs i have !Life's what you make it .I've done and am doing all i can but stay in the poor house! I just never made out of the bottom of the barrel so i find ways to be happy.I'm happy scrolling making other people happy with my trivial gifts of thrown away wood scrolled project of beauty. That still amazes me to be able to make something from garbage.
  25. thanks BOBSCROLL !
