  1. Hi Marg, Openoffice is free software, check out on google
  2. You may be able to run them in compatability mode. If you dont know how to do this click on start button an use help and suport .
  3. Take along some examples of your work to show what can be done on the saw. Might be an idea to take along some give aways for kids, small simple animals or the like. HTH
  4. I use the clear tape as I find small delicate sections are less likely to lift
  5. Masking tape (painters tape?) on the wood, spray adhesive on back of pattern and stick to masking tape, then clear packing tape over the top.
  6. Check out Google
  7. I would just use bees wax well buffed up when dry.
  8. Your saw is almost identical to my SIP which I modified to a quick change by using an indexing lever of the appropriate size as here. http://www.wdsltd.co.uk/products/Machin ... ert--1607/ Also take off the clamp and clean off any roughness left on the underside from when the slot was machined, I used a needle file. Run some abrasive paper through the slot to clean out any swarf or lubricant left by machining. When you put the blade in the clamp keep it as close to the front as possible and the lever only needs to be finger tight HTH
  9. I am about halfway through the Tempo, but currently on hold after major heart surgery. I get my birch ply from ebay here: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/alwayshobbies ... X:SELLERID I buy in bulk and save on the p&p. Good price and quality fast delivery .
  10. Hi Chance, You will find it in MS Word under Insert. This is in office 7 not sure about other versions.
  11. Hi Derek and welcome to scroll saw village from Mick from Driffield East Yorkshire. You will find it a friendly place and an easy site to navigate. Check out the galleries and generally make yourself at home.
  12. Hi Marg, This is most likely a routing problem and nothing to do with your computer. if it was your computer it would happen with all web sites.
  13. Fine here in the UK Travis
  14. Hi Malc Just cut on the waste side of your pattern then finish using any kind of files or sanders you might have. You can glue some sandpaper to an old scrollsaw blade to turn your scrollsaw into a very effective sander,
  15. Hi Paul, I use this guy on ebay. http://stores.ebay.co.uk//alwayshobbies If you buy in bulk you save on shipping costs. First class service and very good product.
