  1. Thanks everybody! The show went well. It was my first every show and I did $250 in sales (only spent $40 on the booth) and got an invite to another sale in Nov. at an elementary school's fall craft fair. It'll have more people come thru than this one did so we'll see how that goes. Kevin - I haven't see any of the boy or girl plaques in stores here. I've sold 1 of each, but that's it so far. I completely agree with the stamped or lasered items and that ours are unique and handmade and on good wood making them worth more. Good luck on your show! My feelings for the first show were as long as I made back my fees and a litle more I would have been happen. That being said I was thrilled with the outcome As far as an suggestion box, I actually bought a couple receipt books at Office Max and took orders.
  2. I've been popping in once in a while and catching up on posts, but was spending a lot of time getting ready for my first show. Here's a few of the projects I was working on
  3. Mine is def. the Olsen #3 Mach Series.
  4. HI Chance and welcome. I have the DW788 and love it. It's needing a tune up though after 12 years of scrolling on and off, but has been very reliable. You'll love your new purchase.
  5. That is absolutely amazing and detailed! Thank you for sharing.
  6. Those look really good!
  7. Looks Amazing.. I love her patterns.
  8. I have the DeWalt and love it! Don't forget to check places like Craigslist and maybe you can get lucky and find a good used one or a new on there.
  9. I wish they'd do that hear. I'd love to have some of that stuff!
  10. Welcome Crystal
  11. That looks good. I like the double image
  12. Born and raised in Bryant, IN - it is literally the middle of nowhere! Now living in Lebanon, TN which is about 20 miles east of Nashville.
  13. Susie, I don't know what Ace sells it for, but Sloan's Woodshop is another source you can use for comparison or if Ace is out Doug, Glad I could help and contribute
  14. I sell by word of mouth and give items out as gifts. My sales have really picked up in the last 6 months which is awesome. It's still a hobby to me, but I sell enough to pay for my hobby plus a little extra. We'll see how my first show goes next month LOL
