    Hegner Multimax 22-V

I have a Hegner 18" Vir and a Hegner 22" Poly Max belt driven. I use the 22" nearly 90% of the time and love the saw. I have had it for about 16 years with only the blower going out on it. I have owned just about every Scroll saw made and if I were to buy a new saw, it would be another Hegner. Well worth the money spent
  2. Not sure how this clamp will work under the table on a Dewalt 788, but I use them all the time on both of my hegners without any problems at all
  3. After many years of filling my lungs with saw dust and really having problems, I bought and wear the Trend Pro....you say it costs allot of money....not nearly the cost of the hospital stay if I hadn't had insurance. I wear it all the time when making saw dust. And i wear glasses all the time with out problems. I have the other types listed here, but the Trend is my go to mask these days
  4. Great cutting. Are they being hung on the wall? Those would make good Trivets as well
  5. Great job on the shop sign Becky...everyone needs one of those.
  6. Great scrolling. What blades did you use?
  7. Jim, I agree you should try sharping your blade several times. I remove the blade and use the bench grinder. I have used it to sharpen my 1/2 & 3/4" and it works great. I put a red mark at where I start so I don't get lost. My blades are 105"
  8. I sure am glad I have short hair on top and only about 2" on the chin hair....just thinking about getting your hair caught makes me hurt...ouch Hawaiilad
  9. This really makes a difference in cutting as most of know, but it's good to bring up again. I set up the saw to cut some puzzles the other day and no matter what I did, the pieces were not being cut straight...I looked and the table showed it was on the proper mark...after two puzzles having to be re-cut, I found out the table was not straight...the factory mark was wrong... 10. A Very Happy Scroller is one that has friends call them to offer "Free Wood".. Hawaiilad Larry
  11. People have been nice to welcome me Nick, and now I do the same to you... Hawaiilad Larry
  12. Thanks for the very nice welcome. Kevin from the way you speak (or write) I would say you have been to the Islands a time or two... Not sure I have done everything in Scrolling or woodworking, in fact I hope I haven't...I just love to learn new ideas or other ways of doing something. For saws, right now I have a 18" Hegner Vir, 22" Hegner belt driven (the one I use most of the time) and another saw I bought at Lowes this year for $80 close out...why, because the table tilts both ways and the Hegner does not. For that price I was willing to give it a ride...not as good as the big saws but it works for what I wanted. I would love to post some pictures (as soon as I learn how) and as soon as our camera is fixed. Daughter gave us back a camera we gave her years ago and it stopped working about 1 hour after I started using it. If someone would tell me how to post pictures here, I will post the few I was able to take. I feel for all you people that are located in the cold weather. We lived in Washington State for many years and I do not miss the cold weather. Lovely the rest of the year. I do miss the tall trees. By the way, I looked at several of the items you all have cut and all of you are darn good with the scroll saw... Aloha, a hui hou (untill we meet again), Larry
  13. I can see you put allot of work and love into that cutting...very nice work Hawaiilad Larry
  14. Sounds like the wife and I Frieke...shipping out Grandkids Christmas gifts tomorrow and noticed this morning we were short of gifts. I cut out a fish and train tray puzzles and brought them to the wife so she could paint them. She put letters A - Z on one puzzle and numbers on the other...(yep, 26 puzzle pieces) I do like the Unicorn and I'm sure the Grand daughter will as well...I will have to look for that design. 15. Just wanted to say Hello and Aloha to everyone. I am Larry and I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. The wife and I have lived in Hawaii for about 6 years, and yes we love the nice warm tropical breezes that we receive every day. Been woodworking and scrolling for about 30 odd years off and on, and full time scroller for about 20 years. I have tried about everything with a scroll saw, and of late I have been having fun cutting bowls, baskets and boxes on the scroll saw. I am retired so I have plenty of time to spend in the shop. My shop is a 20'X20' metal carport frame that I added 3 sides (the front of my shop is left open...always warm here remember). I have another carport and I am getting ready to double the size of the shop...to many toys...I mean tools. Hawaiilad Larry
