  1. If it takes you 4 hours you are way low on price. Remember, you are a craftsman. However, if that is all you want then I would have a sign on the table-- "CLEARANCE SALE" all items ARE MARKED AT HALF PRICE" John Old Dust
  2. I have done 100's of craft shows so perhaps I might be able to give you some ideas. Since tables give limited display space I would: 1. Bring all you can but only display 1 of each. If it sells then bring out another. 2. Have a variety of price range from $1 to $50+. 3. Since this is a Church affair I would have some religious items: crosses, angels, sayings, etc. 4. Yes! Definitely have your album out. 5. Have business cards. You can order cheap cards at www.vistaprint.com. 6. It is not too early to have Christmas decorations out. 7. Be sure you have a lot of $1 bills for change. 8. Have a black table cloth for the table. Just a few ideas to get started. John Old Dust
  3. Mother in Law Portrait. John Old Dust
  4. The patterns are by grampa. Thanks grampa. John Old Dust
  5. This is a Steve Good pattern. I cut it out of some floor laminate we used in the kitchen recently. It is very strong but chews up blades. (8) John Old Dust P.S. Thank goodness the wife said she had enough in her "oriental room". John Old Dust
  6. Yes you can have a free web site. Even with instructions to make your pages stand out. Just go to: sites.google.com Have fun. John Old Dust

  10. I was going thru some old scroll magazines and found an article on cutting CD's. Since I had a stack of them saved from mailings I got a few years ago, Thought I would give it a try. The article suggested 'no reverse blades'. I agree. Also use #1 or 0/2. Since I did not have any 'no reverse' that size, I decided to try anyway. Bad Idea. I broke a number of them on the first 2 cuttings. Tried #5 FD Polar. Worked much better. Also set your speed to the slowest you can, otherwise the blade will just reseal what you just cut. The photo has a quarter in it to give a size comparison. John Old Dust
  11. Key ring names are always appreciated. John Old Dust
  12. This is a pattern from Steve Good. I did the right one with gloss black paint backing and gold paint finish. The left one was just finished with Danish oil. I believe the symbols say "Good Luck". John Old Dust
  13. At first look at the photo it appears that the clock is suspended in mid air, an optical illusion from the lighting. John Old Dust
  14. This is a pattern from Steve Good. It is supposed to be a 1/2" stand up, but I had an order for it as a framed piece. John Old Dust

No. It will not be used for food so I just used Danish oil natural. That is what my wife likes. BTW The light wood is actually from an old cutting board my wife threw out (1/2") and the bottom is 1/4" sub flooring. John Old Dust

The side compartments and outside edge were cut at a 30 degree angle. John Old Dust
  17. Thanks Brett. Her is my cutting of your pattern. John Old Dust
  18. This is a Steve Good pattern. I cut it out of ceder. My corners are not good as I just could not get a satisfactory 45 degree angle for a tight fit. Well! as long as the wife likes it. (And she does.) It is about 9" high. John Old Dust.
  19. This pattern is from SSW Fall 2004. It is for my wife's doll collection (if she can find room.) I used 1/2" poplar and Danish medium walnut stain on the table legs and chair legs. Since my wife just likes natural wood without any finish I just put a sealer over all. John Old Dust

  21. The pattern is from the Fall 2004 issue of SSWS. Since the pieces are 3" X 5" I used various 'scrap' I had. The center piece is 1/2" Poplar, shims are 1/32" unknown, sides and inside slide are 1/8" sub-flooring. The cutter is from a wax paper box. John Old Dust NOTE: Scrollers do not have "SCRAP". We only have diminishing dementional inventory.
  22. This goes with the stamp dispenser I did a few weeks ago. John Old Dust
  23. The backing is a blue mirror. Would make a nice gift for VET Posts. John Old Dust
