  1. Very well done you did an excellent job especially that it was taken from a photo.
  2. The centres of those letters were glued separately to the backing board with the front temporarily in place ,the backing was then removed & painted where it lined up with the letters etc. then the front & back were glued together.Hope this makes sense. Cheers Peter

  11. No great secret Marg ,I just use good quality brushes & the process goes. Sand well I go down to 8oo grit paper,Undercoat,Lightly sand again, Coat of undiluted acrylic paint, Sand again, Final coat of water diluted acrylic paint, If I varnish the piece I thin the varnish with Penatrol for that smooth finish. My segmented pictures I now do with an airbrush as it is much easier & quicker on those small pieces & gives a better finish,I still use a brush to apply the varnish. Its all a matter of good equipment & patience,Hope this helps you in some way. Cheers Peter.
  12. Made these mobiles for my grandsons, they are all joined together with fishing swivels & the pieces I cut the letters out of I made into name plaques for their bedroom doors. Just something a bit different for a change. Cheers Peter.

Amazing Kevin suggested that I should share some pictures of the conditions I work under in my open carport workshop, not as flash as some of your beautiful workshops but it works for me,at the moment i have moved the scrollsaw onto my back porch as is shown in one of the pictures, it is much warmer there as it catches the winter sun. Happy scrolling Peter

No great secret Dick I used oil based enamel for the grey on the rabbit.water based enamel for the pink ears & a water dye for the carrot They were all coated with a high gloss varnish & each piece was painted & varnished before being glued together & glued to the backboard, the coyote is all oil based enamel & the landscape is a water dye applied by a rag & not varnished. Cheers Peter
