    That may have worked 15 - 20 years ago Theresa when the world was larger and not moving as fast as it is today. I would suggest work smarter, not harder. I think today you would have greater success creating your own web page linked to social media such as LinkedIn,Twitter, Facebook and any other popular social media site. Good luck with your decision.

    Never had problems with tear out when stack cutting. I use 1/8" BB Ply and stack at the most 4 but usually only 3. Blade size will vary from 0/2 - 3. Sounds like a dull or improper blade.

    Fabulous and a beautiful cross Ralph. I would apply a semi or gloss poly finish. Black backer looks great but a red backer may be more effective. Well done.

    Awesome Dan. Just a thought re: Santa's beard. Undoing the mop threads and brushing may help make his beard more hair like. Did this on my rocking horse. Mind you I used macrama.

    I would difinitely return saw for a refund and in turn test drive a few different scrollsaw brands and models within your budget. Keeping in mind throat size that will satisfy your needs for many years, build quality (preferably domestically made) service, operation of saw and etc. Then you'll be more informed to making a decision that'll suit your needs and chances are saving yourself many dollars. I honestly can't recommend one over the other being I don't know your type of scroll sawing desires. I wish you the best with your final decision.

    Like Paul indicated Perry you can use same blades as if cutting wood. I think I had used a #5 when I cut the cougar out of moose horn.

    When I run into this situation Paul I file the tip of blade to a fine point. A little more time consuming but well worth it in the end.

    How can you go wrong Les. The stand alone is probably worth $100.00. It's a steal if the saw is fully functional to your satisfaction. The Hawk is a quality machine. All the best with your decision.
