  15. If the blades you're using straight, cutting ¼" BB with a #3 or #5 is generally a good choice. I usually go to a #5 automatically when cutting ¼", ½" and or ¾".
  16. Like driving a car, riding a bike or playing a musical instrument I go by sound and feel when cutting and of course speed will vary on thickness and hardness of wood, blade type, pattern and etc I never run the saw at full speed being I'm not on a schedule. When cutting I keep the blade clean and lubricated with bees wax As others have noted you'll find the sweet spot. So when cutting vary your speed with different blades on different woods and in no time you and the saw will become one cutting any pattern with precision.

  22. I realize this isn't scrollsaw related but being a lot of you are also fishermen one of you may know more of the Arjon fly fishing rods than I do. My wife purchased this Arjon bamboo fly rod signed Frell #777-7' and is a medium. All I know Arjon was sold to Abu somewhere in the late sixties. This fly rod is in excellent condition that my wife paid $6.00 for. Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
