  1. Good morning Chris When I purchased my Ex 15 years ago I purchased a Treadlite ll foot switch model number T-91-SC3 which is dedicated to the saw. This one along with other models available require no special wireing set up. Just plug your saw into it. They are reasonably priced and should last for years. This is what I suggest over wireing a foot switch to a scroll saw or any other machine.
  2. Good morning Luis Excellent cutting and very nicely framed. Well done.
  3. God morning DW Excellent work and very nicely finished.
  4. Good morning Rod Excellent job in cutting and the natural wood frame you made ties in 100% with the portrait. Very well done.
  5. This is an update to the free set screws I had for offer. They have all been spoken for and mailed to those who had asked for a set. Thank you.
  6. Thanks Doug. You would think so but where I am and surrounding areas the hardware stores stock set screws but not with a flat face. Frustrating when you have to special order something so simple and yet vital to the operation of the saw.
  7. Good morning Mark Both are excellent cuttings of Don's patterns. Well done.
  8. Good day Richard You've done a really excellent cutting and finishing of the hatchling. Like very much.
  9. Good day Roy Hang in there and hopefully everything improves for you soon. Tomorrow will be a better day.
  10. Good day Stephen Trying something different turned out unique and great. Very nicely done. Makes a person feel good when you can come up with your own design.
  11. Good day Larry Like the mahogany and walnut wood combination. It's really going to pop once you apply the finish and add the candles. Very well done.
  12. Good day Dick Very nicely cut and framed. As for remembering the pattern designer my only suggestion would be when you download attach the designers name to the file. My wife has the same issue in trying to remember things. She now writes everything down and then forgets where she put that note ... heck a person will introduce themselves and five minutes later I'll ask ... What did you say your name is ... lol Golden years are so beautiful ... NOT
  13. Good morning CarlYes I can upgrade with new blade clamps but I would have to upgrade with the rocker arms as well for a cost of $300.00 which I refuse to do when all I need are the set screws. Crazy isn't it. You would think big outfits like General Int. and Seyco would have these in stock. I couldn't believe such a small item like this could be so difficult to acquire. That is why I recommend when purchasing a new Ex to purchase additional set screws and blade knobs being these are the parts that wear and will need replacing. Then you have them if the manufacturer decides to upgrade like in my case.
  14. Good morning Dan Excellent pattern of Lennon and nicely cut and framed.
  15. Good day Carl The new Excalibur saws redesigned their blade clamps with fine threaded set screws and knobs. Mine being an older model uses a course thread and Seyco and General Int. only stock the fine thread. I've had a hard time finding a supplier but managed to find one located in Tennessee. Ordered another two dozen and should have them this week. The set screws and knobs are the only items that wear and occasionally need replacing along with the motor brushes. I like carrying extra parts so I have them when needed.
  16. You're welcome Al. Will mail you a set tomorrow.
  17. Good day BobWill be in the mail tomorrow.
  18. If your saw is fairly new Roly your set screws would have a fine thread.
  19. I have 24 blade clamp set screws (new) for the Excalibur scroll saws (fine thread). General Int. sent me fine thread instead course thread. So anyone that has an Excalibur and would like or need a set just forward me your address and I will mail them out to you. No Charge.
  20. Good morning Nick Silence is Golden after an hour of applauding on your move up to a scroll saw that will make yourself ask why I waited so long. You will find yourself enjoying scrolling even more with this precision machine improving your life. As for relationships, that to will improve, over time. Congrats and enjoy.
  21. Nicely done Carl. What I call relief cutting.
  22. Good day Graham Welcome to the village of a lot of great characters who share the same passion as you. Looking forward to seeing some of your work and hope to learn something new.
  23. Good day Martin Congrats on your first portrait sale. Be interesting to know what portrait you had sold and did the price compensate enough for your time and material.
  24. Good morning Dan Excellent. All four plaques very nicely cut and finished.
  25. Good morning Nick Glad your first show was a success. That is a heck of a display and selection. Well done.
