  3. I agree with Zen. I think they are about the best blade . but I do have problems when cutting 1/4 plywood, then they are hard to handle. I have some old blades that I use for 1/4 plywood, I don't know what brand they are..

she will like it. I am sure she will find a good place for it where it can be seen by every body .
  6. I made one like the pattern and showed it , No sales so I removed the single pin and put 5 more in using some Axel pins that I had from making toys and showed it again and got 3 Quick orders. I did make the lower part about 1/4 wider. I only charger my friends $8.00 each. I made a little money but not much for my labor. I don't charge my friends much for my lobor.
  7. I modified Steve Goods leach holder pattern
  8. It's hard to decide what to make for sale. You have to Mass produce what ever you want to sell. I have been doing it off and on for the past 30 years .I use to sell toys, but there is a libel problem with selling toys; I even sold lighted wine bottles for about 4 years along with scroll saw products flooded my market and so I quit that line They cost about $4.50 to make and sold for $15.00. last year I sold scrolled sawed dog items. That was ok but not as profitable Just pick an item and try it, but don't expect to get rich doing it. I do mostly Craft sales Don't get discouraged some times you make good and other times you don't. My wife goes with me and sells tote bags. We don't make much but have a good time at it, and that is the main thing
  9. It's cold herein cincy also I can work when the temp is up to about 40*, but that's at least 2 woks away
  10. on my old craftsman saw I had a small air pump on it and it worked well but I couldn't get to work thru the air nozzle. IU had to run a line to the work directly from the air pump. I ran it that way for years on me.
  11. them once and hated them. Now if the pattern is to long for my De Walt I forget it and find some other pattern to use.
  12. I use a awl on the back side of the drilled holes to make a better entry for the saw blade
  13. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND I NOW GET 2 SPACES. IT USEALLY BRINGS MY PROFIT MARGIN DOWN BUT THERE IS PEACE IN THE FAMILY.
  14. I usually saw for 50to 60 minutes and then go to the house for a coffee break then start over I usually do this for 3 hours. That is if the weather is good in the winner in the summer it last longer than that..
  15. I am not new at scrolling just using modern saws. Last year I got a new saw My 20 Year Craftman was past its use fullness . I looked on the internet for a saw and The Porter Cable was the best saw for under $200, so I bought it, after about 6 month it began giving me problems, the Light and the air blower quit, So I hooked up an old fishing aerator and it worked fine, Well till about 2 month ago and it simply fell apart, I don't know if Porter Cable could fix it but I didn't want any thing to do with that piece of Junk. I Then bought a DE Walt 788. Which is working out fine , A bet My only problem with it .is At Age 74 I don't have enough strength in my fingers to tighten the Blades. I now use a wrench to tighten the Bottom The T one I can get without any problems. Is there any body out there that can give a old man any ?
