  1. Dick, Thanks for posting why you had to replace your clamp assembly. I made the add-on you referred to. It didn't strip the threads, but After about 6 months of use, it spread the clamp apart so the knob screw and set screw didn't line up.
  2. I don't usually print out of inkscape, I'll resize the page to fit the picture (in inkscape) then save it as a pdf. Open the pdf, select 'file' - 'print'. In the print window pop-up under the 'page size and handling' section I select 'poster'. you can set the overlap gap and show cut marks. Hope this helps.
  3. I feed from the bottom also. On larger pieces, I'll round over the top end of the blade or file it to a point. Like Steve suggested, make sure the holes are clear.
  4. Right handed and cut both ways, but counter clockwise most of the time
  5. Nice score Kevin. Congratulations
  6. Merry Christmas to all from Massachusetts.
  7. Sully, have you checked craigslist. there's a dewalt 733 in Maryville for $150 Posted yesterday
  8. Quick way to check if your blade is square to the table: Cut about 1/4" into the edge of a 2x4, back out of the cut, slide the 2x4 around to the back of the blade, the blade should slide right into the slot you just cut. if it doesn't adjust the table until it does. I keep one next to the saw maked with which blade made the cut. Makes it quick to readjust the table back to 90*.
  9. I built 2 from Intarsia Workbook by Judy Gale Robers and Jerry Booher. One flying, one landing. Finished sizes are about 8 x 10.
  10. I filled out a survey for woodworker's journal a while back. They emailed me last week I won something for participating. Figured it would be a book or something, UPS dropped this off this AM. Freud Fusion 10†40t blade. Way Cool.
  11. I picked this one up at HF a few years ago. No problems with it. With a discount coupon, its around $30.
  12. I also have the Ridgid sander and love it. Woodcraft and Hightland woodworking both have the 14" Rikon Deluxe on sale for $799. Like Travis suggested, check out lumberjocks and woodworkingtalk for reviews/discussions on different bandsaws. I've read good things about Grizzly's. There's a Woodcraft near me so I got the Rikon.
  13. It came out great. Good job.
  14. You've made a good Start. I like the color and grain patterns. I made this a couple years ago, was a fun project. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
