Long story but in a nutshell, I bought the original which was a 40-690 from Amazon .com on sale with the light and stand for something like $300.I think about 3 years or so ago. I had a few problems with it and finally about a year or so ago they replaced it with a 40-694 because they couldn't supply a replacement motor for the original. This one came with very dry bearings but once I got that sorted, no other problems. Don R

Mine came with the light. They have a six year limited warranty and they are direct drive. The upper arm lifter is a nice feature. I really like mine and have used the warranty without any problems Don R

Well, We are in portage (at least physicallyl. It was a rough move on both of us and are now trying to fit stuff in a much smaller home, but it is coming together with the help of younger family members. Age 77 in poor health definitely is not a great time for a move, especially in snow. Anyway we are going to make it. Ya have to be tough to be old. No room for sissies DON R

Closed the w0rkshop, sold and gave everything away.The movers loaded yesterday, we arrived in Portage last night late and exhausted. The movers will arrive with our stuff tomorrow then we will collapse for two or 3 days. Will still continue to monitor this site daily and will continue to make patterns. Don R

I have for sale, for one price, the contents of my workshop. The workshop was set up for scrolling and wood carving but due to health, we are selling out and moving to an assisted living facility.
