  1. Happy Birthday mgour!  I hope you have an awesome day!

  2. unfortunately some peoples will destroy all nature for few coins. I advise you also to buy burls only from known distributors, you may pay a little more but it worth.
  3. Great rack the sculpture give a nice character . We can easily think that you made also the sticks they look like the rack.
  4. Beautifull pens ! great job !
  5. Just a small advice the diameter of the bushings is reduced after a number of pens so a small advice before starting your turning check the diameter of the bushings and the diameter of the pens I already have the problem with the bushings smaller and even had 2 times that the pens were bigger than the bushing. it's just a good practice to check it before. In your case no big deal because the wood is bigger. So you can unmount the pens and reduce the size but if it's smaller then you cannot do much. This is my experience I am already on my 685 pen turned all types of pens together so if you have questions don't hesitate to contact me.
  6. hello, Sorry but I may not explain well what I wanted to say look on your picture the wood is bigger than the metal part look on my picture the wood is on the same level. you should remove wood until you reach the bushing level

  8. Great work Just a small comment : on the bolt action pens. I would remove a little more wood to be on the same level as the metal parts or maybe it's only the photo that gives this impression.

  12. really great idea how to use small scrap wood . the scrap wood from pens i usually glue them together and make segmented pens here is a good example
  13. Thank you all for your encouragement . The coconut shell is pretty easy to work with the only difficulty is the finishing . The sanding produce a lot of dust and it takes very long time . I need to start sanding with 80 grain until 12000
  14. here is my last present for friends and family: jewelry made of coconut shell and wood and a usb flash memory on lignum vitae
