  1. A very NICE rut Kevin. Those are beautiful. All I can do at the moment is DROOL over them. Superb Kevin. Haven't touched the saw since I nicked my finger. Thanks for sharing those with us Kevin. Take care. Rob Roy.
  2. Superb job as usual Kevin, wouldn't expect anything else from the MASTER. . Rob Roy.
  3. Very unusual Dan, but it's your usual perfection. Rob Roy.
  4. Slooooow down Kevin. NO!!! don't. You turn out lovely work and encourage us all. Keep it up. . Rob Roy.
  5. Hi Daddy_tindel the usual rule of thumb for drying fresh sawn timber is one year for every inch in thikness, but keep checking the moisture content. No doubt you'll get checks and warping and no two timbers are the same. H T H. Rob Roy.
  6. Lovely job Roly, turned out great. I'll bet the UNDERCARRIAGE only took you 2 minutes to make. . 1927, hmmmm, nearly as old as you. I like the Tiger wood too all in all, excellent Roly. Thanks for sharing. Rob Roy.
  7. AMAZING, as usual Kevin. Rob Roy
  8. I think Roly we are all possibly in the same boat, as far as the wives are concerned. My wife says I'm WIDDIN HEIDIT, which translates to, wooden headed.. There you go Roly, you can insult your friends with impunity now (unless they're Scottish). . Rob Roy. PS at my age wood is about the only thing that turns me on.
  9. Super Haul Roly, Just watch your timing when you put it in the MICROWAVE when you're drying it. . We look forward to some lovely cuttings in the not too distant future . Rob Roy.
  10. Hi Keith, superb job as usual. Like the black, but prefer the red and for some strange reason Marg 2 agrees. Nice finish too. Thanks for sharing Keith. Rob Roy.
  11. Ohhhhhhh I like that Roly, matches the colour of my face whilst wearing the KILT, especially one with a TILT in it . Rob Roy
  12. Hear, Here, Dan, they do a great job. And deserve a big thankyou . Rob Roy.
  13. Hi Roly, your pick up pens reminded me of Scott, my son's predicament with one of those. Like you he picked it up at a market for pennies. This one had a clip the same as a pen, so into the top pocket it went. Two or three days later he went to the cash machine, and much to his chagrin the card didn't work. Yes you guessed. His debit card had been in his top pocket and the friggin magnet wiped it clean. DOOOOOH. Wife did the same with a magnetic catch on her hand bag!!!. That's why I stopped using a hand bag. . Have a good day at work Roly. Rob Roy.
  14. Hi Bob I think there is a few of us members of that organisation. In fact some of us will be Honorary members Bob. Rob Roy.
  15. Hi Roly, after seeing all these wonderful things you and everyone else is making, I think I'm going to have to rescind doctors orders .Re no sharp things. I'm getting fed up blundering around the house looking for things to do. I can see the shop beckoning me. So we'll see what transpires, mind you it could be me that EXpires. I've got a few of those pick up thingies, all different sizes in the garage and they are very versatile. I keep quite a big one in the shop for picking up dropped screws etc. Saves me bending down, I'm sure you know what I mean . The butterflies and dragonflies are very nice too. Have a good day. Rob Roy PS my thingamebobs don't have fancy handles,(yet).
  16. Great job Kevin. The perfectionist has done it again. Rob Roy.
  17. I bet your jacket is not as STRAIGHT as mine Roly . Rob Roy
  18. Hello Norma, A big huge WELCOME to the Mad House. I'm (Rob) Roy, from Scotland. You will probably realise in a few days, or even a few seconds, that the lunatics run the asylum here, with the exception of Travis and Clayton they are the head haunchos. You will wonder what you have let yourself in for here, well I'l tell you. Magic pattern makers, Amazing Kevin, you'll find out soon why he's called Amazing. We also have PHANTOMS(watch out for him), and I have a funny feeling the Rob referred to is me. We have wonderful magic scrollers too, not to mention wood turners, if it's wood it's in here, or even PENS. We have breakfast every day which Larry usually makes. Is there any chance you could give him some tips so we can have a DECENT breakfast. Need to be careful as Amazing Kevin is a funny eater Look out for Keith too,he likes nothing better than taking the Mickey. I could go on and on, but I wont, too many super folks to mention but they know who they are and so will you very soon. There are occasions when we can be serious too, you know, but that usually only happens when the moon turns BLUE. So come on in and ENJOY yourself. Life is too short to be serious Rob Roy.

Well Gator, two beautiful photographs and your portraits are just superb. My Grandson saw the first picture of your two friends together, and he now believes Mr and Mrs CLAUS DO exist, well, he's only five. Thank you for sharing them with us Gator. Rob Roy.
  22. Hi Dick. Levi and Cassi will cherish that lovely piece for the rest of their lives. Beautiful and different. You've put a lot of work into that . Rob Roy.
  23. Hi Dan, I think you made a bad choice with the duct tape(no offence intended Dan). That stuff sticks like a Scotsman sticks to his wallet, and the fact it was Chinese makes the problem worse. Try some alcohol as suggested. Rob Roy.
  24. Got to be a Scottish tooth brush Dan, they are much ROUGHER than the English ones. . Rob Roy.
  25. Absolutely no reason for apologies Keith, we all understand your situation, and Dad comes first. BTW how is your dad coming on.??? Hope he is improving. Take care and come on in when time permits Rob Roy.
