  15. Hi Jim, I usually turn the can upside down and spray till it's clear and don't have any problems. If I'm using thicker stuff I do the same, but with Keith's method too. Just my way with spray cans. Hope this helps Jim. Rob Roy.
  16. Excellent, as usual Keith. The brownie points must be piling up. . Rob Roy.
  17. Hi, Overfifty, there appears to be 4 shades of Irish Green. Shamrock Green, Kelly Green, Irish Flag Green and Emerald Green. However the Kelly Green seems to be the most popular. I hope you find this useful. I see you are in the same trade as I was for 40 odd years. Rob Roy.

    Hi All

Welcome to the village Mel, I'm Roy from Scotland and I've just joined this family a short while ago. Come and join us and have some fun. Just to remind you Mel, there is no Drying Out Clinic for the Scroll saw affliction. Kevin will confirm this. . Rob Roy.

    hello

Hi Bob, I hope you enjoyed the film. I shall reserve my opinion. Since the lead was played by an IRISHMAN. Never mind Ireland is close enough. . Just take the story with a pinch of salt and a bit of artistic licence. Oh and some tomato ketchup!!!! Hope you had a good day. From the REAL Rob Roy
  20. Hi Smitty glad to hear you got the all clear. I got the opposite. Thought I had bad heartburn, turns out it was two narrowed coronary arteries.Mind you that was quite a few years ago and i'm still here and taking the pills, no problems unless I do something idiotic and it's not difficult for me to do idiotic things. Most times I just do a workaround. LOL. Rob Roy.
  21. Hi Roly re you spalted timber. You could use PEG or many other methods which could be used. You're more or less in the lap of the Gods and pot luck into the bargain. If you're not in a hurry, put it outside somewhere dry and airy preferably off the ground and mother nature will do the rest. Just keep an eye on it as when it's damp the fungus will still be active but once it's dry the fungus is dead as the proverbial DODO. Hope this helps Roly. I tried this once in the MICROWAVE. The timber was passable, but my black eye took about three weeks to disappear. Rob Roy.

    hello

Thank you all for the friendly welcome. I'll sort Keefie out later, giving all my secrets away. LOL. It's nice to know that there are so many people willing to impart their knowledge, which has probably been gathered over a number of years, to a more or less complete novice. Hmmmm, a 68 year old novice, that's stretching it a bit, never mind it's just a number. Thank you all once again and I hope to get to know more about everyone. Rob Roy
  24. Hi Keith, that looks superb. Bet you had a lovely Christmas dinner. First time I've seen chicken soup made like that, or is it a Pot Roast. Rob Roy.

    hello

Hello folks, I'm Roy from bonny Scotland. I'll rephrase that, hello from a dull, wet, cold and windy Scotland. I've been in the woodwork trade for 40 odd years. Mainly involved in church furnishing, altars, pews, chairs, baptismal fonts, lecterns, organ fronts and anything else you can think of. Now enjoying retirement with 2 small Grandsons, one coming up on 5 years the other coming up on 3 years, to keep me on my toes. I got an old Rexon "16 single speed scroll saw which was being junked and being a "canny" Scot, as it was FREE, I had to take it. I fixed it, played with it, and enjoyed it. Made a change from the big boys toys. I'm still on the upward slope of the learning curve and hope to get to somewhere near the apex, assuming I last that long. So look out for some imbecilic questions. Apologies for taking up your time with this drivel. Rob Roy.
