    Good sign idea Ralph and I have a wife that loves gardening and is retired so no issue there. The idea is to get so many plants there's no room for weeds. lol Roly

    We open our gardens here for public to view on certain days but I am opening mine for the second time to Gardening clubs who arrive by coach there are four gardens opening near me and we all end up at the last garden for a party in the evening.     I'll have a go at everything but Intarsia, which I've yet to try and that's only because it's so time consuming and fiddly. If you don't try you'll never know so I'm my own worst enemy on that one. Everyone has his or her mindset when it comes to skills left handed or right handed male or female and the machine you use can affect the straight lines. All I can say to NEWBIES is never give up.     Looks like red oak to me.If I needed a match I would run a few bits through the scrollsaw then pick up the sawdust and mix it with wood glue perfect match. Roly
