  1. "what suggestions can you give for me to ensure that I'm producing what may be a demand for a profit? " What works at one sale may not work at another. Offering a variety of items is the best policy. See what sells and what doesn't.
  2. welcome. I sell almost year around but also build up my inventory for the fall sales. Good luck.
  3. "......when I have taken the time to make a puzzle and some of the pieces don't slide up and down properly I end up throwing it away. I don't know if anyone else has this problem......" When I encounter this problem I find that if I change out the blade more often, the problem dissapears. Using only sharpest blades seems to help.
  4. Some locktite on the grub screw may help with that problem.

  6. I like this one. I need to try it.
  7. get the tension on the blade tight enough to hear a "ping" when plucked.
  8. I also spend a lot of time in my workshop thirty to forty hours a week. I make toys and trunks along with intarsia and inlay. I have loads of photos of projects I have made over the years. I have over 25 images in my gallery now.
  9. Examples of my intarsia attempts;
  10. If I knew how to insert an image of my intarsia I would. Too new here to know how to insert an image but I will study it and get back to you.
  11. Hello. I am Jim Finn and I live in Lubbock Texas. I have been scroll sawing about 3 years now. I have two Hegner Scroll saws. Polymax-3 (2009) and Multimax-3 (1986) I do not do any fret work (yet) but I do a lot of double bevel inlay work and some intarsia. I make and sell 8" x 12" cedar boxes with images inlayed into the lids. I also have used my scroll saw to make toys for toddlers. I am retired and spend about 35 hours a week in my wood working shop in my garage.
