love the smell of new wood in the shop

i found a art shop herein houston that had some velvet black poster like board that i really like as a backing. there out and i cant get anymore. its blacker and better than just black poster board. do any of you guys have a www. site that carries anything like this? about the same size as poster board and was $2 a sheet.

i worked nights and days 25 years and i found out off my last graveyard was not a good time to work on a car. wife came out and found me snoring on the concrete under the car.

well I get to work with 2 great friends on a 1901 John Deere chuck wagon. this is a picture of them than i just got finished with. going to make a old fence wood frame and take it to them next week. we will be 5 miles from Mexico in Mercedes, Texas for several weeks doing the 75 rio grand livestock show and rodeo. want be doing any wood working but will be manning the black pots cooking grub to give away to fair ground customers. plan on taking lots of pictures and making patterns and cuttings when I get back

i saw a guy sancho (i think) that did a breaking bad a few weeks back.he inspired me, loved the series so had to do this one. haven't made the frame yet but couldn't wait. was in the upper 30's in my shop but i got it done today.

believe it or not i lay mine flat on the saw table and hit it with a orbital sander. and sometimes a small torch and burn them off.and some times a small file and knife and cut them off

that very same pattern is sitting on my saw as we speak. next scrollsaw project, you did a excellent job

good news just got another order for a smaller one also 3rd one now heck got enough wood left over to almost make me one

baltic birch just funny looking under a light bulb. took about 8-9 hours cutting

took 2 days but thanks to G&k woodworks here. found a beautiful pattern for a customer.thanks so much for the pattern was a challenge to cut.
