well i learned on the straight blades and then spiral. if i am cutting a picture i use the spirals. pictures usually have no straight corner.. for all other cuttings #3 r tooth is the way we roll here. and the biggest key is mikes flying dutchman blades.
been able to set at the scroll saw a few days and been having fun knocking out a few projects i have been wanting to do. so here are all but the last one which is still in paint
made this boxer dog for a good friend he in returned made me a electronic controller for my smoker. sweet making summer sausage right now. made this church picture off a old church bulletin. oldcrowscrollwerks helped me with the pattern. thanks for the pattern. this church is really special. my grand father who passed before i was born 51 years ago was a founding member. i was baptized and married in it. just our little neighborhood center. i am in the process of making more to give old church family.
advice my dad gave me was marriage will be "the best thing that ever happen or the worse" he was married 47 years till he passed 7 years ago and me and that little lady I married.......well Jan 15, this Tuesday will celebrate 30 years.
last cutting for next two months going to do a job. so will be looking and seeing what you guys and girls are making and will be itching to get back home.
very nice pattern. i hope to be able to do the same soon . i plan on using next 2 months away from my shop to learn gimp. i have been learning inkspot around last 2 weeks. getting better and figuring it out. just a computer basic person. first time to use a program to really work on stuff. wish me luck and thanks for sharing your work.
very nice indeed kevin. what a blessing God gave you to share. I enjoy telling people when they look amazed by my stuff " my father was a master carpenter but my daddy never worked with wood."
i couldn't wait to show this. 10 hours of cutting its 1/8" wood about 11"x17" will get a frame tomorrow. my most complicated delicate piece to date. this patterns test a scroll sawer for sure.
