  1. So, both pieces of wood are 1/2" and stacked, you are cutting that detailed of a silhouette in 1" of woods, at an angle, with a very small blade? Yep, a person must be proficient with a scroll saw. And I can not find an entry hole.....
  2. Please tell me you can do that beautiful inlay on the Hegner... Beautiful work.
  3. WOW! First time and that nice.... Hang on!!!
  4. Jim, Jim, Jim. You and Dave Monk do such nice inlay.. Wish I lived close to one or both so I could get instruction....
  5. That is neat, but,,, don't those people know it is Winter, well at least late Fall... Shorts and no shirt!!
  6. I'm anxious to see what they say also. There are two setting on a Hegner, but I think it they are related to depth of cut or something else.
  7. That does seem more to me than I would expect. I'd contact Advance Machinery. It is under warranty and if you do much yourself you may void the warranty.
  8. Les, it is call a photo editor,,,,, I use photoscape. Free software. I used it when I had Windows for years and I use it now that I have a Mac. The Windows version is better. There are many free photo editor that can be downloaded.
  9. Looks very very close. If it isn't the slight off could be just where I slid the top of the blade into the clamp when I clamped it and or how centered and perpendicular I got the bottom when I clamped it in. I'd be tempted to take a picture and send it to Advance Machinery if I were you. Maybe there is something wrong and they need to make it right. You know the top clamp should not be tight in the holder. It should have a tiny bit of play. When I first got my Heg, I tightened the big thumb nut down on the clamp and had all sorts of trouble, broke many blades, then I read the instructions, backed it off a little and have loved the saw ever since.
  10. Anyway you can point to the screws in one of these pictures,,, like edit the picture with an arrow. Hegner_Multimax_22v_parts_diagram-3.pdf Or part number(S) from the attached diagram?
  11. i think you are correct and I also think it would be neat to make different scenes in some, like Santa and a Christmas tree, or snowpersons something along those lines, like mini-schwibbogens thingies,,,
  12. I'm sorry, Dave I do not understand what you are describing. It is not perpendicular to the table, front to back?
  13. Good to have you back with us. I think I remember the nose...
  14. This so great. Very nice of your club. I was invited and went to a wood turners club today. Really enjoyed my self and met two local guys the to scrolling also. First scrollers I have met locally. Not enough to make a club, but a start.
  15. Looks real nice. Well cut, she will be very happy.

  18. There is a thread for saw reviews, they just have to add it to the list. I'm very anxious to read your review.... You might sent a message to "Travis" in case he does not see your post.
  19. I did, Kevin, a few months ago. It is so remember-able how could you possibly forget!!!
  20. Nice stuff, Kevin!
  21. I see old magazines for sell often. Never read any issue (ha ha issue, good one) with it. Like do you have to right to sell a used read book??? As for old printed patterns,,, did you use them? I have often wondered, because I have bought more patterns than I will live long enough to us, can I resell the ones I didn't use? I do no know. I know for sure I should not sell ones I bought, made copies of for cutting, and did cut the copies, bur what about the ones I never did anything with...?
  22. I agree, thank you all that are Veterans, past , present and future. I had the privilege and honor of serving in the United States Marine Corps... 1963 - 1966. Viet Nam vet, 5/1965 - 2/1966, Chu Lai. Even more proud of my son, retired Navy. 22 years. Fighter Pilot. Started in the F-14 Tomcat, probably the most beautiful fighter jet the Navy ever had, then transitioned to the F-18/ SuperHornet, when they started decommissioning the F-14. He served two tours in the Middle East. I think I enjoyed his career as much as he did.. What a career he had. What he wanted to do since he was 11 years old and he never wavered from that goal... Made my life very easy raising him.. I solute him!
  23. Nope, you are a pro! That is what us pros do.....
  24. That is really neat. A puzzle within a puzzle. Very nice work.
  25. I have a system for used blades. I remove them from the saw, and place them on a counter next to the saw. I know I will remember what they are and then I immediately forget. If you were to come to my workshop, you would see a pile of used blades sitting by my saw, that I know I will someday figure out what they are. That's my system, has worked for me for a long time.
