  1. Thanks for the pattern. Will see if I can do anything with it or not
  2. I have some friends wanting me to cut a couple of patterns. So if anyone has seen just the patterns available please let me know. Thanks.
  3. Been scrolling off and on for guessing 30 years. The internet in general has probably been the most helpful to me than anything. Patterns, forums, ordering supplies has all made a huge difference in the scroll saw world. I started using a Craftsman then had a few cheaper deltas. Now I have an excalibur and recently found a really good buy on a jet saw. When I first started I was basically self taught so had a lot to learn. Used carbon paper to trace patterns lol. I still don't consider myself a great scroller and it is only a hobby for me. Just something I started doing and I find it is relaxing to me.
  4. Here is one I cut out. The lady that wanted it really liked it. I still need to sand and finish it. Thank you so much for the pattern
  5. Had to laugh. A friend of mine sent me that picture wanting to know if I could cut that out so I got on here to request a pattern and seen that someone already had. Can I use the pattern. Thanks
  6. Thanks guy's appreciate it
  7. Does anyone know how to tighten the blower nozzle on an excalibur type scroll saw. Haven't tried to do anything on it yet just trying to get suggestions. Thanks
  8. Thank you looks good
  9. Have to chuckle at this topic a little bit. I try to stay on the line as much as I can. A few years ago I had cut out an ornament and missed a line and thought I could let it pass. After completing the ornament I was not happy with it. Told my wife I was going to redo it and she asked why and I told her I was not happy with it. I showed it to her and she said nobody would ever know but I did. I am blind in my left eye so it is a challenge for me to do super detailed work. I have a lot of people ask me how I do this hobby with just one eye and I just have to tell them it's just something I wanted to learn how to do. Sorry for the long reply
  10. I am trying to find this pattern. It is another one that I used to do years ago. I have a traced pattern that I use but would like to find the original pattern. Just not sure where the pattern came from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. Ok I tried to reach that nut on my saw and thought I had it where it wouldn't move and it worked for a while then started moving again. Sunday afternoon I tore into it a little farther where I could reach it better and put some loctite on it. Used it for an hour or so this evening and so far so good. Fingers crossed it fixed the issue. Thanks for all the help
  12. Does it have to be modified or does it line up pretty well
  13. Just curious about the Pegas saw. Would it mount on a ex21 stand or not. Thank you
  14. Thanks guy's I appreciate it. Will try working on it when I get a chance.
  15. I have an ex 21. The tension knob on the back of the saw keeps moving. I know it has been discussed on here but can't locate it so thought I would just bring it up again. My saw is 6 or 7 years old. I have played with it and must be missing something. Thanks for any help
  16. Thank you. I am glad because I ordered it yesterday.
  17. I got it thanks. Will let you know
  18. If my memory serves correctly it might have been in the book scroll saw silhouette patterns by Patrick Spielman and James Reidle. If anyone would happen to have this and can see if it is in there I would appreciate it. Don't want to order the book if it's not the one I'm looking for. Thank you
  19. Trying to find a pattern that I used to make years ago. I believe it was a Spielman pattern. Trying to find what book it was in. Looks like the image. Thank you
  20. I like to make things that I like the looks of. I do a lot of simple wildlife portraits, a lot of religious things and a lot of Christmas ornaments. Right now I am getting ready for a festival in August. It has been several years since I sat up at a festival but going to try a couple this year and see how it goes. I sell a lot of stuff where I work but like a lot of you I mainly do it because I enjoy doing it. It is just my way of relaxing and if someone orders something I try not to set a real tight deadline. I try to keep my prices reasonable and like some of you make enough to cover costs and add a few things to my shop. Yes I forgot to mention my wife is always finding stuff she has to have me make LOL.
  21. Hey Sparkey I was just looking at that one last nigh online. I also have the 8 inch craftsman and I thin it is going on 25 years old and even set on my brothers porch for 7 years. It doesn't look like it would even run but it still does but is starting to make some noise. If I get one I think I want one with the lazer on it.
  22. If I may ask where did you find the pattern at. I love scrolling religious pieces. Thanks
  23. Just to maybe help someone else some trouble the screw to do this with will break pretty easily. I found out the hard way the first time I adjusted mine and of course it is a special screw that has a spring and ball bearing in it. Seyco does have them but to me they are expensive. Just thought I would throw this out there.
  24. I started using spirals years ago and now can't hardly use anything else. I used to use olson blades but recently ordered some FD's from mike and like them better than the olson. They seem to be made a little stronger so they don't break as easily. Most of the work I do is simple 8 1/2" x 11" wildlife portraits but still have a lot of tight corners in them. Recently started doing some of the military type things from Steve Good and still use spirals on them.
