  5. ok so it is not realy the emblem of the fire fighters. i guess it is more of a plack ? and yes i know i cant spell worth a poopoo.lol i changed the color to red more like the grim reaper ,,,,booooooooooo

  12. well here he is chris, i did the face with a spiral blade and the frame with stright blades hope you like it,, my first time using the spirail blades for the hole face,,
  13. i had to tighting the back bolt also and it to stays up for me now, just dont over tighting it or it wont move at all
  14. i am using 1/4 inch balticberch plywood this is what i use mostly i finnaly finnished his face going to cut the rest with straight blades #1 s

Posted Today, 01:05 PM well for starter's i am using them for a pattern that was made for me , no i am not new to scrolling, just spiral blade's , this pattern has many unnatural shapes, i will post it when i am done, slow going..what is the best speed on the machine i should use , seems to cut better faster, but not the control issue. and i have been changing them when they start to wounder too much. I am using #3, and a # 3/0 what if any comments abought this is helpfull ...thanks for the replies given so far

  21. yes i have been buying blades from mike for a wile , i will have to check out the post on the spiral blades,, i cut better then i spell lol thanks .
  22. i would like to order some sprile blades , i finnaly was abel to use one that i did not mess up on a patteren . what i want to know is what would be a good size blade for beginners with sprile blades, i have been scrolling for a couple years but the sprile blades seem to mess with me , the one i used was a home depot blade, but i would rather order from mikes scroll saw flying dutchman, unless some one knows of any better ones ,,, thanks john ..

  25. hi i am oringaly from baltimore md. moved to a little town called zephyrhills fl. in the tampa bay area , started scroll sawing abought 2 years ago, my son john jr passed away so i was in need of a hobby always loved to work with wood so i pulled out my old scroll saw from when i was a boy and started to cut things to keep my mind ocupied and hands busy,,not long after i bought a ryioby for 90 bucks the tenshion broke got another free same thing , saw a add for excalibur for 100.00 bucks worked great for abought 6 months and one of arms broke only to find out it was so old they quit making parts for it , i use dewalt 788 , its ok but cant do fret work to much back and forth motion of the blade,, wife is tight with the funds would love a new ex. so any way that is my story...
