  1. Compound cutting is my favorite thing to do. You did a great job. What woods did you use?
  2. What a nice tribute. Great cutting.
  3. Nice cutting. How you planning to finish it?
  4. Nice tribute.
  5. I hope I did this right. I am the "new guy". Many have asked about seeing my work. While I borrowed the idea from a pattern using a music score in a magazine this actual design is my own. This is a piece I made last year. It was a commission piece for the retiring director of our local women's choir. The piece is walnut on a maple backer. The music score shown actually corresponds to the words shown below it. The song was the director's favorite that is why it was choosen.
  6. If you are coming down, up or over to NC then you must also check out http://hardwoodstore.com/. I get much of my hardwoods and all my plywood from them. What I really like is their wall of shorts. These are pieces from 12" to 4'. Every species and every width at amazing prices.
  7. Marg I am in the eastern USA along the North Carolina / Virginia border.
  8. I am not new to scrolling but new to this site. I live in NC along the VA border. I own two DW788's (one Type 1 and one Type 2) and an older Hawk. I am blessed to have a detatched garage that is my shop. I am still working so I do not get as much shop time as I would like but does anyone really get as much shop time as they want? When not working or in the shop I do some reading, fishing and even a little hunting. I have played with some pattern designs but that is one area I really hope to focus on some day. Scott
