  1. Paul , I get the tires and axle pegs from craftparts.com.......tried making them and failed......Buy them 100 at a time and the cost is very resonable.
  2. Very well cut !....Nice work !
  3. The plans are from Toymakingplans.com ....Cut from white pine 2x4, and 3/4 poplar for the fenders...Cut these for me and any other kid that comes by and likes them !.....Thanks for looking....Steve.
  4. Like Paul and Tim said a backer will really stabilize the work....Most of my fretwork is cut from Baltic Birch ply, which i purchase primarily from Woodcraft or Sloans......I also study the pattern as i cut it and if an area looks like it will be a problem i may tweak the cut a little ...the pattern is after all just a guide.
  5. Very nice Tim !....That should raise some funds !
  6. Thanks for sharing this with us Dick.....Very nice work for a great cause!
  7. Jeff, it will be interesting to read the responses to your question.....I use a progression of 80, 150, 220 as a rule ...I have some 320 but seldom use it......like a lot of other things in scrolling it is what works for you.
  8. Nice work Dick !....You and Tim make good partners.

  15. That turned out great, Frank !
  16. The 1970 Maverick race car was designed primarily by Bob( spirithorse ) ...I tweaked it a little, and used input from Roly,Russell and Tim....thanks for the help guys...Others tried but i had a poor photo.......The owl was by Deninoz....Cut in 1/4 BB with FDUR blades....Thanks for all the patterns and thanks for looking!

  20. I am about to make some of Steve Good's test tube wooden vases and the face of these will be 1/4 Cherry that I got from Ocooch hardwoods...I have never used Cherry in a project before, so how do you guys and gals finish it?!....Do you use any oils or topcoats?...Thanks for your feedback !..Steve.

  23. A few days ago I asked for help on a free standing name plaque for my niece Mady and you guys were great with your response....I went with a pattern by Roly and by Timothy......I had other choices because you guys gave me so many.....They were all good but these two fonts were what stood out....Thanks to everyone that responded.....The first one is from Roly and the last one from Timothy......Thanks to all, Steve.
