  1. Happy Birthday kkrunde!  I hope you have an awesome day!

  2. Is it possible to scroll saw designs out of old pallet wood and if so, what blade do you recommend? Thanks!
  3. Thankfully he didn't have any injuries
  4. Metalscroll...... he is pretty lazy for a hiker and insists on being carried. I carried him for a while and then I had my 4 year old buddy carry him, but he kept dropping him and Rowan wasn't pleased
  5. Thanks everyone! Took Rowan out today with the family and got some more pictures of him. Dick - I have a LOT of projects in mind I want to do... gotta work on finding wood.... I have gotten a lot of great suggestions on where to look, just need to find the time to do it I have more designs in my head too.... just got to get them onto paper
  6. Thanks everyone! Finally gave him a name too.... Rowan.... I'm pretty happy with him Gave him a nice beeswax finish after I painted him, so he is ready to go hiking next time we go out.
  7. So happy to hear you are doing better! Can't wait to see pictures!
  8. Today is my first day back to scroll sawing and I have decided to make a gnome. My family and I go hiking, as often as our schedules and Hubby's health allows, and I often find really neat places in the woods, where I imagine gnomes could live. I have, for a long time now, wanted a gnome to carry with me and position in these places and take pictures. Today I found a really really cool heart shaped decay spot in a fallen tree... I mentioned again how I wish I had a gnome and my Hubby said "well get one".... so I did something else.... I made one I'm not an artist, so it took many tries to create the pattern I had in my head. He is all cut out and ready to be painted. Just waiting for my younger daughter to share her paint (she is rocking my grandson to sleep at the moment). In the meantime, here are some progress pictures Thanks for letting me share! Done giving him his clothes, face, and hair I think he turned out pretty good. Now he just needs a name. Update 7/29 Rowan is just 5" tall Got some pictures of him today where it seems a gnome might live
  9. Good Morning Edward! Good Morning everyone! Just finished my toast and eggs... very good. Now having some apple juice... guess I have to pay full price. Hubby hasn't been doing well, so I'm sorry I haven't been around. How is everyone? The weather here is yucky and doesn't sound like it will improve at all. Hope everyone has a great day!
  10. Turned out beautiful! Great job!
  11. He looks great!!!!!! Awesome job!
  12. Beautiful cutting job!
  13. That is awesome news Kevin! Yep God is always good!!!
  14. Good Morning all. I just had toast today... but thanks for the offer for the meats Dan! I have actually had my fill of meats lately, so a light breakfast was in order. Have a great day all! Larry - how cool that you have horses! My younger daughter wants one When we lived in Maryland, my older daughter took horseback riding lessons, but at the time my younger daughter was too young. There was a horse rescue across the street when we lived there, so for my older daughter's birthday we actually were able to have one of the horses visit and do horse rides for her party. It was pretty neat, not something every kid can say they had at their birthday party
  15. You all at too much LOL
