  1. Has anyone tried the Chimes of Normandy pattern from cherry tree?
  2. These intarsia items were completed Sept. - Dec 2017. the deer sold real fast. I think I like the Egret best.
  3. Has anyone done the cherry tree Chime of Normandy clock? If yes I understand the plans do not include any instructions. So was it easy to assemble?
  4. Any ideas on uses of small pieces of wood left over from intarsia projects? I have done some coasters, cutting board by glueing up pieces. Any other ideas, suggestions? Most pieces are 1 - 2" by up to 4".
  5. Great work.
  6. Wonderful work. What finish did you use on the cardinal?
  7. Now that my new workspace is complete I have finished the following pieces. 1 Soaring Eagle head 2 Soaring Eagle JG roberts pattern 3. ear rings 4 rose steve good pattern 5 cats in basket JG roberts pattern
  8. Started work on this 12 x 14 work area In the basement on Dec. 1, complete with dust collection system. Seems to be working quite well. Now back to projects.
  9. I am at just about the same place as Bill with my new workshop in the basement. Mine is 12x14, should put primer on this week. Dust collector will sit outside, put in some sound eliminating insulation on that wall, not sure if it will work but might as well while the wall was open. Any tips before I begin to "populate" the room with the stuff!
  10. Finishing a 12 x 14 workshop in the basement. I was going to leave it with bare concrete but now thinking of doing some type of flooring for comfort mostly. The basement is 10 years old and perfectly dry. It is not heated and temperatures vary from the coldest of 55 to about 75. I do not want to spend a lot of $$$ and must be able to do it myself. Suggestions?
  11. Thanks Rob, that was helpful Rick
  12. Has anyone built a bench or stand for the foredom bench lathe or a standard bench grinder. I use them for sanding and need more clearance on the bottom. Looking to incorporate some type of dust collection around it. Any suggestions or recommendations ? All will be appreciated Rick

Steve Good pattern. Need to go shopping for a better frame.
  14. Judy Roberts pattern. Used Aspen with white gel stain, cedar, black cherry, western red cedar. The suggestion was to use the wonder wheel to mark out grooves in the headband. I tried this on some scrap pieces and just could not get it right.
