  17. Hi all, I have done a fair amount of research on both these saws and cannot figure out what is so great about them. by the looks of it they dont seem like very good saws and seem like the excalibur would be a better choice even though it is much cheaper. so would someone be able to help me understand what makes these two saws so great? thanks! -Joe

  19. I have a 16 inch craftsman scroll saw and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to tension/loosen the blade faster as the tension knob is in the back of the saw. this tends to get really annoying when I'm working on a long project. Thanks! -Joe
  20. I know this is an old thread, but I saw this and and me being catholic thought I should correct you on the fact that it is not a painting, but yes it is very beautiful. If you want to learn more about it you can use this link http://infallible-catholic.blogspot.com/2012/04/miraculous-image-of-our-lady-of.html I would definitley recommend checking it out because it is truly amazing.
  21. I would like to thank all of you that made a pattern for me, I used a little bit from each one. I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on what i should use to frame it and what color i should make the backer. Thanks! -Joe
  22. Ok I have a question that Im hoping someone can answer. Whenever I cut a pattern, I cover the wood with painters tape and glue my pattern to that and cover that with packing tape and it works great. But now when I use baltic birch plywood (1/2 inch) I take off the blue painters tape after I cut and it pulls up tiny splinters out of the wood and makes the surface really rough which is annoying when I sand the wood before. and this problem only occurs with baltic birch. the surface is very rough with tiny splinters sticking up. So I wanted to know if anyone else has similar problems and if anyone knows how to prevent it from happening. Thanks! -Joe
  23. Hi everyone, I was wondering what kind of wood everyone uses for various things. So far I hear that 1/8 inch baltic birch is the way to go for pictures to cut. also I was wondering where the best place to get wood is. I dont want to order it over the internet, and in my town there is a few menards, home depots, lowes, 84 Lumber, ace hardware, so out of those what would have the best wood for scrolling. Thanks for all your help. -Joe
