  5. Wow!! Amazing job!!
  6. Thank you so very much! The pattern was actually from here! There are many wonderful patterns available from this forum. Love this place!
  7. Well friends here is my first project of my return! And I'm quite thrilled and proud of it! I will be submitting this to sell at an auction to raise awareness to mental illness. Its my hope it will fetch a decent price. I do have a question for you all. I THOUGHT the wood was oak when I started but having seen it now, with stain and finish, it doesn't look like oak. Is it possibly Maple? It most definitely IS a hardwood. I know that to be sure by the hundreds of blades I used Lol. I want to tha I all of you that have posted supportive comments and assisted me with patterns in the past. It is indeed an honour to share my work and view the wonderful works of other members here. I have learned SO much here. Blessings to you all!! Tim
  8. Thank you everyone for your prayers, thoughts and encouragement! That's another reason I love it here. Everyone supports everyone no matter whether its personal or saw. And yes I am currently working on a wolf design from the Village Pattern. I'll be selling it at a fundraising auction to raise attention to the mental health area. Again, thank you so very much! I will be posting my progress on this as I go on. I used to punch some out in a few hours but I still find myself absolutely exhausted after just a small time. BUT incredibly peaceful so I just take many breaks. Wishing ALL of you many blessings and a great day!! Tim
  9. Hello everyone in the village! As some may recall I have mentioned in my posts that my wife and I care for her dad full-time and work full-time. I had requested some designs and everyone came through in a massive way for me. Shortly into those projects my saw broke....then so did I. I was told its called "care giver burnout". Hard to describe or explain to anyone. But in short it amounted to not caring about anything. Just barely having the energy to get up in the morning and making it to work alone was purely exhausting. After a great deal of counselling and help I think i'm back. WHY would I share something THIS personal on an open forum? Because I'm tired of anything to do with mental illness being labelled as something to be ashamed of or "weak". And I KNOW theres more just like me here! You are NOT weak and you should NEVER be ashamed to say 'Ã cant do this anymore...please help me' Anyways I AM back and I'm going to fire up my workshop today and play! I wanted the people of this fantastic community to know that I did NOT just "come in....grab some designs...and run" I just ran into a wall. I look so forward to beginning again to look at and share some works. You guys ARE wonderful...each and everyone! Thank you for listening. Its time to get back at it! I hope everyone's day goes well. And if you want to talk about what you just read? Feel you may have some issues and are not sure what to do? PM me. Sometimes its just good to talk to someone thats been there. Happy scrolling friends!!! Tim
  10. Great work! Love it!
  11. Love them both! I'll be cutting both ASAP and WILL absolutely post finished pics. Thank you SO much MrsN and Russell. And everyone here. You are all awesome! I'll put one in his living room area and one in his bedroom. He can't escape the love now! :) Thank you!!
  12. Well it IS greatly GREATLY appreciated! Thanks again!
  13. Wow! That was fast! Thank you so much!
  14. Quick background. My father in law had a massive stroke 4 years ago. My wife, son and myself have ensured he can stay in the home he worked SO hard to raise his family in. He is a proud man and was intensely active in his life. ALWAYS giving his time and energy to everyone else but himself. So the least we can do is ensure his days are the best they can be...and in his home. Lately his health has gone more and more down. He cant talk and he can barely hear. His days are mostly sitting in a chair staring at a TV (which, when he was well, he despised). Last night he spoke. Unfortunately those words were 'I'm a burden. I wish i had died" We TRIED to ensure him he is NOT a burden and we are simply doing what HE would do for us. He couldn't hear so we wrote him a note. Our primary way of communicating. He loves my scroll work. In short. I would like to ask someone to design for me a simple yet elegant sign which we can put in his room so that every morning when he wakes up he can see it. I'd like it to say "We love you dad/grandpa With all our hearts" With some embellishment. He is proudly Dutch heritage. Perhaps windmill silhouettes or some other Dutch symbolic thing. Id like to see what you guys can come up with. I'd just like him to see a reminder every single day when he opens his eyes that he IS loved. When he was well one of the things he loved most was camping and canoeing. Thank you all in advance. Tim

Stunning work! I'm trying so hard to find a place close to me that sells specialized wood for projects. Its not that easy here. As for the "imperfections" that's what makes it PERFECT and one of a kind for sure! Beautiful work! Tim
