  1. This was the first intarsia project I did. If I remember correctly I got a DVD or video tape on doing intarsia and the plan was included. It is made from cedar.
  2. Good job, I'm sure they'll love it.
  3. Very nice work
  4. Amazing work
  5. I used 2 45 degree elbows instead of a long radius elbow since I couldn't find any out here in the country. For 6" blast gates I made my own, I cut 2 squares from 3/4" plywood, cut a hole for the pipe and cut 1/8" birch plywood for the spacers and the sliding part of the blast. Attached the spacers to the plywood with glue leaving enough room for the gate to slide. Attached to the pipe with RTV.
  6. Welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing some of your work.

  11. I used a pattern from the Jan. 2008 issue of Creative Woodworks & Crafts. I resawed some walnut, cut it a little thicker than 1/8" and sanded it with the drum sander to the final thickness. The back is 1/8" birch, I used a thinned craft paint to stain the background. It is finished with several coats of spray shellac.
