  1. Wow, Dick, that is a great start. I like compound cutting, but I have not tries Chess pieces.
  2. I use full sheet labels. Print right on the label, peel the back and stick right on the wood. These are extra sticky, so I use blue painters tape first.
  3. Well done, RJ. Nice to rescue wood for reuse. We had a horse called "Sunny".
  4. A wonderful project. What did you use to stain or paint the background?
  5. Congrats on the new saw. I have the Pegas Chuck Head Set for the popular saws in stock. When ordering, use FALL10 in the coupon code box for an additional 10% discount. Also shipping is free. This is the link to the item: Pegas Chuck Head Set for popular saws | Pegas scroll saw (artcraftersonline.com)
  6. Hi Scott. I just joined also.
  7. The set screw and thumb screw with swivel does wear out. Sanding does help, but should be replaced after time. I sell them as a set. the thumb screw with swivel is in shipping and should be here this week. The white lever also wears upon time. If if flips up for no reason, time to replace. I posted too quick. The FedEx delivery arrived and now I have 10 in stock. The price is $7.50 per set. the link is: Set screw and Thumb screw with swivel | Pegas scroll saw (artcraftersonline.com)
  8. Thanks all for the nice comments.
  9. Thanks Frank. The flower petals were compound cut. No carving only sanding.
  10. Thanks Buzz.
  11. Thanks Pete. I looked back and I made one about six years ago. Fun to make.
  12. Thanks Mark. Diana Thompson's book contains boxes of many different shapes. Not chocolate but Walnut. LOL
  13. A Dogwood Box pattern by Diana Thompson from one of her books. This one was cut at home on the EX21 using FD Polar #9 and #5 blades. Even though I sell Pegas, this was completed at home with the few FD blades I had leftover. The box is Walnut and the Dogwood flower is Hard Maple. The finish is one coat spray Shellac and two coats spray Clear Satin Lacquer.
  14. Very well done
  15. Nice to see you are back making sawdust. Projects look good.

  18. Very late in replying, but it looks like you got your answer. The box shows 30kg Net which is 65 pounds.
  19. You guys have great ideas.
  20. Wow, That looks great. Spirals are the right choice for this project. I would go down to #0 or #1 Spiral.
