  3. Whenever a smile is placed in your heart it's always a great day. With all the online access sometimes we lose the sight of actually friendship in a physical bonding type of way. I'm glad you guys were able to get together and have a blast. I met one scroller from the Village and that was Doug to give him that Porter Cable and it was great to see and hear what other scrollers thought of your work in person. You guys are two gentleman of our trade and hobby that I wanna thank for sharing your art, workmanship, and experience with us here at the Village. Thanks for sharing your time together with us. 7. Welcome to the Village. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.
  8. When I first laid eyes on Clayton's POW/American Eagle intarsia project I just needed to do something like it because it is off the carts awesome. The only thing that was in the way of me trying something like that was I didn't know how or have the skill set at this moment. Thumbing through the scroll saw world I ran across the POW/American Eagle in a fretwork pattern form at the Wooden Teddy Bear. I purchase it and here is my end result. It's quarter inch BB sitting on a pallet with black construction paper in between.
  9. Doug Welcome to the village. I noticed your in the great state of Georgia. I'm also from Georgia but on the west side of town. Powder Springs, Ga to be exact. Like yourself i'm also handicap and scroll sawing has taken my actions away from the TV, staring outside, wishing and hoping into something awesome and rewarding. I was gifted a Porter Cable scroll saw with stand. I would like to gift you with this scroll saw. Then you can save your money for supplies or a better scroll saw down the road. If you would like it it's all yours. I can meet you half way. Just PM me. The only thing I ask for in return is if you up grade then you gift it to someone that's also is need. Ciao Cliff

  18. Thanks for showing up folks. I have an Ex 21 that I purchased used. Everything works great except for the flexible blower hose. At the base it just won't grab and hold tight and when cutting it goes all over the place except where it needs to be and I find myself huffing and puffing to clear the sawdust. Now i'm not mechanically inclined but I looked and can't see where there my be an adjustment. I looked in the owners manual but no luck there. So after the manual the Village is my next step which brings me to you ace mechanics. Maybe I over looked something. Is there some sort of adjustment for this or is there a simple way to rig it so it stays in place at the base of the saw so I can save my lungs for a nice cigar instead of huffing and puffing removing the sawdust from the cutting piece. It's the first plastic piece that touches the the metal ball at the saw. It's lose and I can't get it tighten Help will be much appreciated Thanks in advance. Ciao Cliff
