Charley Im new to scrool saws and bought a used 788 dewalt type 1.Read lots of reviews about differrances between 1 and 2. When you find some time can you please send me info on where you found and bought bearings. My saw runs and sounds find for know but Id like to in the future be prepared. You did an excellent job of cutting. I love fretwork, but haven't found much time lately for anything. "Life" keeps getting in my way. I still check in regularly just to see what's going on.

Love it, was thinking of doing something similar like that for my great granddaughter but something called "life" keeps getting in the way.

Looks like a lot of fine cutting, love red oak wood, I really need to try the inlay thing. It really looks great, hope to do something similar one day.

Thank you all for educating me on the puzzle blades, I didn't know about them since I haven't tackled doing puzzles yet. (on my list for later). Nice to know I can use them in delicate fret work which is what I enjoy working on, will certainly give them a shoot.

Absolutely, if still under warranty take it back. Once you open it warranty gone. You did the right thing. I open mine up and replaced bearing and greased ONLY because I bought used. If I'd of bought new I would have done exactly like you did.
