    Completed music box this week for a Valentine's Day present for my wife. This is from a Steve Good pattern with a few modifications. The wood is cherry and I cut with Shark #0 spiral blades. The song played is Amazing Grace. Comments and mild criticism welcome, Keith

    Peter, I used spiral blades for the cuts you are asking about. I drilled the entry holes with a #64 drill bit. I used mostly #0 or #2/0 spiral blades. I use both Pegas and Flying Dutchman spiral blades. I hope this information helps you in completing your project. God Bless. Keith

    I just completed this Guitar Clock for a Christmas present for my son who plays and repairs guitars. The pattern is by Steve Good. The wood is a beautiful piece of 1/2 inch Persimmon that I purchased from Richard’s Craft Wood this fall at the Woodworking Extravaganza in Hickory NC.

    I used pattern SLDK459 from Sheila Landry's website and made a few adjustments. I increased the size to 110% and cut and past the patterns designed to go on multiple boards to apply to the single Ocooch oak plywood in the 16 in by 24 in size. This is now hanging in our church's Adult Bible Study classroom.

    About 1 1/2 years ago I went through a phase of finding and cutting the Last Supper. See photos below of the seven I cut. All have been gifted to family and friends. LS #1 - Wood is 3/4 inch walnut, pattern by Steve Wilson and purchased from Wooden Teddy Bear LS #2 = Wood is 3/4 inch walnut. pattern by Sue Mey and purchased from her website LS #3 = Wood is 3/4 inch cherry. pattern by Sue Mey and purchased from her website LS #4 - Wood is 1/4 inch maple with walnut backer board, purchased from Scroller website LS #5 - Wood is cherry plywood(12x16), pattern is by Fish and available on this forum's patterns #6 - Wood is 3/4 inch cherry, pattern by Steve Wilson and purchased from Wooden Teddy Bear LS #7 = Wood is oak plywood(12x24), pattern is by Wildwood Designs and purchased from Cherry Tree Comments welcome

    Thanks to everyone for the positive comments/feedback. Paul, you are correct about more of the flag showing. I added two inches to the length of the pattern to allow for more of the flag to be visible. Tackman and JT, After getting idea for the flag from Paul, I spent several weeks searching for the best material for the flag background. I searched for flags on the internet as Paul suggested to me but when I used them for the background, I did not get the result I was looking for in the application. I tried decals and some sections of actual flags and still did not get the desired results. I got lucky in finding the material I used on the Wooden Teddy Bear site. The material is very thick card stock and give the final desire results. I am including the stock number, description, and link below as requested.     I stacked cut three of these in 1/8 inch BB (12 x 16) for Christmas presents. The pattern is by Charles Hand and as designed, has 260 cutouts. I had to add a few bridges to stabilize some areas and to add the US flag at the bottom which resulted in a total of 297 cutouts. I copied the use of the flag at the bottom from an earlier post of this pattern by Scrappile (Paul). Comments and mild criticism welcome. Keith

    One Dewalt (almost dead), one Seyco ST-21, and one Hegner. The Seyco gets the most use but I am trying to get more comfortable with the Hegner. I don't have an answer as to why I own three saws, other than I enjoy this hobby! Keith

    I agree with Dave Monk. I paint all of my backerboards first then use Weldbond glue. The Weldbond dries very clear and bonds well. I have never had any joints to separate. It has become my go to glue for scrollsaw projects. Check Amazon for different size containers of Weldbond.

    I have recently finished two of these Easter Crosses for gifts. The pattern is from Steve Good's site. I added a larger base than was on his original pattern. I used red oak and Pegas 2/0 spiral blades.
