  1. I'll post as I progress.
  2. The book is excellent. I wanted to kern word art. I just kerned my wife's name. Ten minutes in the book and I got it. Just need to keep on reading.
  3. I'm serious! I have trouble looking at the video then switching back to the program. Need two computers and for some reason it wont work on my tablet. So I ordered an Inkscape manual. Used from Amazon, $14 plus $3 shipping. Plan to learn if it kills me.
  4. The best place in the world is at home where your heart is. I used to take a trip every year and saw many wonderful places to live but I was always happy to come home.
  5. Welcome to the village.

  9. Very nice. I also prefer black.
  10. Nice bird houses and good to see you enjoying yourself!
  11. I'm kinda excited, my heater came today. This coming week should be warm so my electrician friend will wire it. The photo shows the heater on the shelf but will be mounted up about a foot higher.
  12. Looks good. I love word art.
  13. Very nice cutting. You should be proud.
  14. After searching Google, Amazon and ebay I have settled on and ordered from Amazon a Dimplex 4800 watt DCH4831L heater. I have read about 75 reviews with majority being five stars. It is a small unit but for $99 I'll take a chance. I do have 40 amp service. I should get is in a few days. After installation I shall post a review. Thank you for all the input. Regards, Les
  15. I look at all the sections starting with introductions. Intarsia has not interested me. I look at the business section. Having had my own business for 30 years as well as a couple of small side ventures small business always fascinates me.
  16. Thanks for the many suggestions. I could use a wood stove but it would require moving all my equipment out side except for a chair to sit in front of the fire with. I'm going to google the Marley stove. Thanks again. Kindest Regards, Les
  17. Please, I may be old but I want to live a little longer.
  18. I cannot pipe gas to my shop because of much difficulty going from one end of the house to the other end where the garage is. Too much of a concrete barrier. I do have and use a propane heater that uses the small canisters of which I still have a couple. They heat very well but I have gone through too many small bottles. They do not last long.
  19. I envy you guys with your big shops. Yours is 120 sqf mine is only 112 sqf.
  20. I have the same milk house heater. Problem is it has to be turned on for an hour before I go into the shop. Most of the time I am only in the shop for an hour or two. I have the 220v handy and such a heater will heat much faster at half the cost. I've looked at several in the internet but am wondering if anyone has experience with one before I jump in and buy one. 21. My workshop is small. 8'X14' 112 sq ft I have a radiant heater sitting on the floor. It is very ineffective. Natural gas and propane are not an option. Also I cannot justify the cost of overhead infrared heating. I do have a separate 220v box in my shop. I'd like to know if any of you use a small 220v heater and what kind.
  22. Here's my homemade clamp. Work great. Not sure what the brass barrel accomplished.
  23. I also got off my butt today and went out to my shop. Brrrr, I (quickly got my butt back in the house. 42 degrees and my radiant heater doesn't do squat!
  24. Welcome from Colorful Colorado to the village. You'll like it!
