  1. Thanks guys. I presume painters tape is masking tape. Lots of ideas to try to.dind out what works for me. Cheers Jamie
  2. Thanks Don. Maybe a little lazy of me not to search first...😎
  3. What do people use and recommend for fixing patterns to blanks? At the moment I just use normal paper type glue (prit stick etc) I know this may not be the best and the paper can get a little wet! Plus it can be a pain to remove. Look forward to your suggestions, particularly for products available in the UK. Jamie
  4. Great design and cutting. What happened with the oiling?
  5. Cześć Marcin, I only found this site a couple of days ago. Seems like a really friendly place with lots of great info and people Like a others a have said...pit on some pics of your work. Jamie

    Howdy all

Hello from a fellow newbie. I'm over the pond in the UK Jamie
  7. Hi Bob, I'm in Sheffield so most things are over one hill or another...lol. Which one are you over?
  8. Seems like a friendly bunch here. Looking forward to getting to know you and picking your brains. Jamie
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Like I said this is new to me so don't expect too much...😆 The templates were from the Internet, which I glued down with craft glue! Good job I enjoy sanding work!! I've been using saw blades to allow me to move in all directions. I imagine most people with experience prefer normal blades. Maybe I will move onto those with more experience. I started carving at the beginning of the year and really enjoy that, which is the initial reason for getting a scroll saw. However after watching various video on YouTube etc I have come to realise that it's a creative tool in its own right. It's just a shame that the equipment is more costly and not so readily available over here in the UK. But we keep trying and smiling as we do!
  10. Big hello to all. I'm not only new I jeremy but new to the scrollsaw as well. Having fun so far, apart.from the snapped blades and fiddly internal cuts! I've made a couple of pieces for family members that were well received. Looking forward to trying a few different projects, two 3d imaged on different faces of a block looks fun! Also with Christmas on the way I can cover the house in home made stuff 😆
